Field Service Engineer
Agilent Technologies
• Responsible for supporting customers through on-site activities such as installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions • Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites • Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems • Performs maintenance and repair services • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations • Proactively responds to potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business • Delivers fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software • Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations • Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers • May deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, preferred Analytical Chemistry with industry experience preferred
- Possess good interpersonal skills and great communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

• Perform on time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment • Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation • Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment • Communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues • Communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up • Recommend value-added services to customers • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records
