Field Applications Engineer
Broadcom
• Own customer Engineering relationships • Be onsite at customers several times per week • Minimal travel outside customer support area • Drive best-in-class technical support at assigned customers • Assist customers in debugging test issues and collect test logs for analysis • Ability to replicate customer issues and assist with debug • Obtain insight into upcoming customer projects, schedules, and milestones • Work closely with Broadcom and customer Engineering during product definition, development, and into production • Help drive completion of customer RFPs and RFQs • Work in collaboration with sales/account management, and BU engineering and marketing teams • Conduct product presentations and demos to customers • Assist with product benchmarking and testing
Job Requirements
- BSEE or equivalent technical degree
- Minimum 12+ years relevant experience
- Deep understanding of WiFi technologies and relevant industry standards
- Strong hands-on experience with both software and hardware aspects of WLAN systems, with an emphasis on embedded software development (preferred)
- Experience using Linux SW, debug modules (console) and use of WiFi diagnostic tools (iPerf, Wireshark etc…)
- Experience with WiFi-related lab test equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive product solutions in close collaboration with engineering, development, and business teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-oriented approach to technical support.
