Job Description

Field Service Technician

VEGA Americas, Inc.

• Install new or modified equipment at customer's facility • Prepare radioactive material for shipment • Analyze performance reports and documentation from customers • Coordinate problem resolution with engineering and customer service • Provide remote and on-site technical assistance • Submit complete service reports for customer invoicing • Analyze technical problems to recommend modifications • Develop service handbooks based on investigations

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) in Electronics Technology or equivalent
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in TopVis CRM
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record which permits renting of vehicles
  • Personal Credit Card with ample credit to cover travel expenses
  • Radiation Safety Certification
  • Ability to submit to periodic drug screens

Role Description The GCG Automation & Factory Solutions Field Services team is growing, and we are now seeking a Sr Automation Field Service Engineer to help us expand our service offerings and support customers across the Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky region! In this role, you will serve as a technical expert in automation controls and related electrical components, supporting customers from project start to finish—including: - Hardware selection - Troubleshooting - Programming - On-site commissioning You will also play an important role in internal training and mentorship, helping elevate the overall technical capabilities of our team. This position is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and contributing to automation success across a wide range of industries. For this role, we are seeking candidates in the Central / Southern OH area to accommodate ease of travel to customer sites around Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. When not engaged in work-related travel to customer sites or corporate facilities, this position offers a remote work arrangement; however, travel could be as much as 75% depending on work volume.
