Beginning as a start-up 10 years ago, Aetonix recently joined the Trudell Medical Group which will enable us to maximize the opportunity to change the face of Healthcare. Professional health care providers are able to improve patient care through the aTouchAway mobile platform for remote complex care management. We are looking for a Senior QA to join our diverse team. Reporting to the Manager, QA, this role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Aetonix's software products through comprehensive testing strategies, automation, and quality advocacy. You will serve as a quality subject matter expert within an assigned development team, driving rapid testing cycles while maintaining high quality standards. You will champion quality best practices and ensure products meet healthcare compliance requirements before release. This is a remote role based in Ottawa, Ontario. Role Responsibilities: Test Strategy and Execution - Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for assigned products/features - Execute manual and automated test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and edge cases - Perform exploratory testing to identify issues beyond scripted test cases - Build and maintain automated test suites with a high level of regression coverage Quality Advocacy and Collaboration - Partner with developers, Product, and UX/UI to promote shift-left testing practices and validate user experience - Participate in requirements reviews to identify testability concerns early - Communicate testing status, risks, and root cause analysis to stakeholders - Mentor team members on quality best practices Healthcare Compliance and Standards - Validate HIPAA compliance, security controls, and data privacy measures - Ensure accessibility standards compliance (WCAG 2.1) Defect Management and Reporting - Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis - Communicate testing status, risks and root cause analysis to stakeholders - Support production issue investigation and root cause analysis Performance and Load Testing - Design and execute performance test scenarios - Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability issues and validate system behavior under stress conditions - Ensure applications meet defined performance SLAs - Collaborate with DevOps on performance optimization What we're looking for: - University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience - 8+ years of progressive QA/testing experience - Advanced test design and analysis skills required: the ability to independently create comprehensive test coverage for complex features and conduct thorough defect investigation - AI/LLM testing skills are required: the ability to test AI-integrated features including text analysis, prompt engineering validation, and complex scenario generation - Proven track record in testing complex web and mobile applications, and APIs - Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries beneficial - Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices (ISTQB or equivalent experience) - Test Automation Frameworks: Experience with Playwright, Appium, Cypress, Maestro or similar tools - Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation - API Testing: Experience with Postman, or similar API testing tools - Performance Testing: Any performance testing tools - Test Management: Jira, TestRail, or similar test management tools - Version Control: Git workflows and branching strategies - Database Testing: NoSQL and/or SQL proficiency for data validation - Agile Methodologies: Experience with Scrum/Kanban, sprint testing cycles - Defect Tracking: Advanced Jira usage for defect management - Mentoring experience: willingness to share expertise with other colleagues Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 What we offer: *An agile, dynamic and motivated team working together in a fast-growing company that is changing the future of virtual care *The ability to make a real difference in people’s lives *Health insurance including medical, dental, vision and life Aetonix Systems Inc. is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all teammates. Role Description HGL is currently seeking an Environmental Construction Quality Control (QC) Specialist III to provide on-site support for our nationwide environmental construction projects contracted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. These projects typically consist of investigating and remediating sites using heavy equipment and remedial technologies to address soil, sediment, and groundwater contamination. This position requires approximately 70% travel to project sites across the United States. Multiple opportunities exist with focus areas of travel in both the Western United States (Colorado, Montana, Utah, and surrounding states) and Eastern United States (Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Vermont, and surrounding states). Responsibilities/Duties - Serving as the on-site lead for project QC. - Interfacing with project managers, technical staff, clients, subcontractors, and other field personnel. - Reviewing specifications, drawings, project deliverables, and ongoing construction activities to assure compliance with appropriate plans. - Confirming all materials and equipment have been tested and approved for use per applicable specifications. - Performing daily QC checks, tests, and compliance activities. - Identifying, communicating, and documenting QC deficiencies, as well as ensuring they are corrected in a timely manner. - Organizing and maintaining project records to ensure all required QC activities are properly documented. Qualifications - Ability to travel out of state approximately 70% of the time. - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Quality Control Manager for a USACE project. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management working in close proximity to heavy equipment and excavation activities at large construction or remediation sites. - Current 40 hour HAZWOPER and 8 hour refresher. - Current USACE Construction Quality Manager for Contractors (CQM-C) certification. - Exceptional communication skills (written and oral). - Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily QC reports, material/equipment inspections, submittal registers, and QC deficiency reports. - Ability to generate meeting agendas and lead internal and client-facing meetings. - Experience inspecting, testing, and documenting large scale soil excavation, backfill, and restoration activities. - Ability to work successfully within a team environment. - Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office applications. - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
