Learning Manager (FTC) Location: Remote, UK, with regular travel to Manchester and Cambridge Salary: £41,368 – £48,451 p.a. (full-time equivalent, dependent on experience) Basis: 1 year fixed-term contract (full-time, part-time or flexible) Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in the UK The role We are looking to recruit an experienced computing and computer science educator to join the Raspberry Pi Foundation to help develop curricula, resources, and learning experiences that will engage millions of teachers and students. You will have the opportunity to develop resources for the Certificate in Applied Computing, an exciting new digital skills award for learners aged 14-19. The development of learning materials for the certificate is being informed by research and underpinned by tried and tested pedagogical approaches. In 2026 we are focussed on supporting students at schools in Greater Manchester to complete the certificate. The certificate includes: - Online modules covering a broad range of digital skills which will prepare students for modern workplaces. - Examples of modules developed so far include visual communication, data essentials and digital wellbeing. - Digital portfolios, developed by students to be shared with potential employers. - Partnerships with industry, schools and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to ensure the certificate is relevant and reaches as many young people as possible. The ideal candidate will have a qualification in computer science or a related subject, with a teaching qualification or significant experience of teaching. You will need to be comfortable with a wide range of hardware and software, and be eager to learn more. Responsibilities - Develop and deliver learning experiences, content, resources, and training for the Foundation's educational programmes and products, including the Certificate in Applied Computing. - Ensure that learning experiences, content, and resources, reflect evidence-based pedagogy and the Foundation's agreed approaches to teaching and learning across formal education and non-formal learning. - Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation to external audiences and stakeholders as required, including delivering webinars and promotion at events. - Contribute to the development of the Foundation's teaching and learning strategy and approaches. Actively engage with research and best practice, and identify areas for improvement and innovation. - Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners. - Engage positively with the Foundation's systems for quality assurance, including in relation to agreed policies for inclusion and accessibility. - Proactively utilise user feedback and data to drive improvement. - Contribute to the Foundation's thought leadership through writing articles and blogs, public speaking, and contributing to research and evaluation. Experience and personal attributes We recognise that everyone has the potential for growth. Experience of delivering high quality learning experiences, content, resources, or training in a variety of different settings and contexts - Experience of engaging schools and educators to drive student enrolment and completion of education programmes. Existing connections to schools or educators in Greater Manchester would be an advantage. - Comfortable with a broad range of technologies, including hardware and software platforms, and the ability and willingness to learn new technologies as required, preferably including experience of managing projects using a version control system. - An understanding of computing pedagogy within formal education and informal learning, and an appreciation of how to translate research into practice. - A commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, including on diversity, equity, and inclusion. - Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners. Openness to working across the Foundation's programmes and products. - Willingness to travel in the UK particularly to the Greater Manchester area and Cambridge.
