Data Manager

Role Description The Data Manager is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and organization of the product catalog and associated documents. They work with spreadsheets, bulk import tools, and the WordPress backend to ensure that product information is clean, correctly structured, and ready for presentation on the site and internal tools. Responsibilities as a Data Manager: - Clean, validate, and enrich product data from existing spreadsheets and other sources. - Map spreadsheet columns to custom fields (e.g., ACF) and taxonomies defined by the Lead Developer. - Use bulk import tools (e.g., WP All Import) to import products, specifications, and linked files (manuals, data sheets, catalogs) into WordPress. - Maintain data integrity by performing regular audits, correcting errors, and updating records as needed. - Organize and upload product related files (PDFs, images) into a logical folder structure. - Collaborate with the Content & SEO Specialist to ensure data aligns with SEO and copy requirements. - Maintain, update and manage an internal PIM (Product Information Management) System. Qualifications - 2 to 3 Years relevant experience - Proficient in: Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (advanced functions, data cleaning, VLOOKUP, pivot tables). - WordPress experience: Comfortable working in the WordPress admin (posts, custom post types, media library). - Bulk import tools: Experience with WP All Import (or similar) including custom field mapping and scheduling. - File management: Ability to organize large numbers of documents and link them correctly to products. - Nice to have: Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), basic SQL, or product information management (PIM) concepts. - Extremely detail oriented with a methodical approach to data quality. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without constant supervision.
