About the Role The Senior Engineering Manager, ERP Procure to Pay Applications will own the strategy, delivery, and operations of the P2P applications landscape across a global enterprise, ensuring stable, scalable, and secure solutions that support end to end procurement and payables processes. This leader partners with Finance, Procurement, and IT to design and support P2P capabilities on one or more ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, NetSuite) and related cloud solutions such as Ariba, Concur, and ServiceNow. This role is within UKG’s Enterprise Solutions & Experience (ESE) division and the Global Business Operations (GBO) vertical responsible for owning and evolving UKG’s end to end Procure to Pay capabilities across the enterprise ERP ecosystem. This leader will play a critical role in driving the next wave of ERP and finance transformation, leveraging AI enabled capabilities, automation, and data driven insights to reduce manual effort, improve cycle times, and elevate decision making. The Senior Engineering Manager will act as a digital change agent, shaping the future of how UKG procures, pays, and partners across its supplier ecosystem. This role is accountable for designing standardized P2P processes, governing enabling applications ( D365, Ariba/Concur, ServiceNow, Power Platform), and driving automation and touchless processing to improve working capital, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Own the Procure to Pay applications roadmap and architecture, aligning with enterprise IT strategy and business objectives across Finance and Procurement. • Lead design, configuration oversight, and implementation of P2P capabilities within core ERP and surrounding applications (requisitions, approvals, POs, GR/IR, invoicing, payments, vendor master, T&E). • Govern and optimize the P2P application ecosystem, including core ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, D365 Finance, or similar), procurement/T&E platforms (e.g., Ariba, Concur), workflow/case tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and integrations. • Manage application lifecycle activities: demand intake, requirements, solution design, build, testing, release management, and hypercare for P2P changes and projects. • Oversee day to day application support, incident and problem management, and SLA adherence for P2P and related finance applications. • Design and maintain robust integrations between ERP, banking, tax engines, OCR/scan solutions, supplier networks, and workflow platforms. • Implement and monitor application and process controls that support SOX, audit, and compliance requirements across purchasing, approvals, and vendor lifecycle. • Define and track application health and performance KPIs (system availability, incident volumes, cycle times, touchless rate) using logs, monitoring tools, and BI platforms. • Partner with business process owners to translate requirements into technical specifications, functional designs (PDDs/FDDs), and configuration standards. • Lead ERP and P2P related upgrades, enhancements, and global rollouts, including testing strategy, cutover planning, and change management. • Manage relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers, influencing roadmaps and ensuring value from contracts. • Build, lead, and mentor a team of functional analysts, application engineers, and support specialists across locations. Required Qualifications • 8–10+ years of experience in IT applications management or ERP/finance systems roles with significant ownership of Procure to Pay capabilities. • Hands on experience implementing or supporting P2P processes on at least one major ERP platform (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, NetSuite). • Strong knowledge of procurement and T&E applications (e.g., Ariba, Concur, or comparable) and workflow/case tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and their integration with ERP. • Proven track record delivering P2P and RTR enhancements and projects that improved automation, productivity, and close cycle time. • Solid understanding of core finance concepts (AP, GL, accruals, cash management) and how they are enabled by applications and integrations. • Experience with incident, change, and release management processes, ideally within ITIL informed or similar frameworks. • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field. Preferred Qualifications • Experience operating in multi ERP or transitioning environments, with familiarity across platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and D365 Finance. • Background as an ERP functional consultant, solution architect, or applications manager in Finance/PTP domains. • Exposure to Treasury and Cash Management solutions and bank connectivity for payments and cash visibility. • Certifications in relevant ERP, procurement, or IT service management tools (e.g., SAP, D365, ITIL, ServiceNow). • Experience working in cloud centric environments and with agile delivery and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps. Key Competencies • Strong ownership mindset for business critical applications and integrations supporting P2P. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business and technical perspectives. • Structured problem solving and root cause analysis skills in complex, integrated environments. • Ability to lead and develop distributed application teams while driving continuous improvement.
