HR Business Partner – Tech

• Serve as the primary HRBP for our Engineering organization, acting as the first point of contact for complex People related issues — including performance management, employee relations, investigations, and terminations • Partner closely with engineering leaders and embed yourself in the business so you can provide practical coaching that drives clarity, accountability, and forward momentum. • Lead rigorous talent processes, including calibrations, promotions, and performance improvement, ensuring decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with a high-performance bar. • Monitor the health of the engineering org through attrition trends, engagement data, stay/exit insights, and performance outcomes — translating signals into clear, actionable recommendations. • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Recruiting, Total Rewards, and People Operations to ensure seamless execution across hiring, leveling, compensation, and employee lifecycle processes. • Build trusted relationships with both managers and engineers, serving as a steady, objective advisor who can navigate nuanced people challenges with urgency and professionalism. • While Engineering will be the primary focus, this role may expand to support additional teams or international populations as the business scales.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HRBP experience, ideally in a high-growth product or engineering-driven environment.
  • Experience partnering with technical or engineering teams, with a strong understanding of how product organizations scale.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations matters, performance management, and high-stakes talent decisions with sound judgment and objectivity.
  • Comfortable using data (attrition, engagement, performance trends) to inform recommendations and drive clear action.
  • Ability to operate with urgency in fast-moving environments — cutting through ambiguity and making well-reasoned decisions quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to deliver direct feedback and influence leaders at multiple levels.
  • Bias toward execution, ownership, and operational excellence with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling experience a plus).
  • Strong alignment with Flock Safety’s Core Values and mission.

Who The Client Is:  Our client is a growing healthcare and support services organisation dedicated to providing community-based nursing, mental health assistance, and disability support. They focus on empowering individuals to live independently while improving their overall wellbeing through tailored care solutions.  Role Overview:  The Rostering Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless service delivery by effectively managing staff rosters and shift coverage. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating core rosters, ensuring participant preferences are met, and coordinating shift replacements when needed. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in rostering software, preferably Shiftcare. Key Responsibilities - Roster Management: Maintain core rosters with regular set shifts for support workers, reporting directly to the Head of Service Delivery.  - Shift Coverage: Manage and fill shifts when support workers lodge leave requests or are unavailable.  - Timesheet Accuracy: Review and confirm timesheets before payroll processing every fortnight.  - Participant Preferences: Keep support worker preferences up to date in the CRM system.  - Support Worker Availability: Ensure support workers regularly update their availability in the CRM system.  - Support Worker access to ShiftCare (CRM): Confirm new support workers can access the ShiftCare app and view their assigned shifts. - Core Roster Development: Collaborate with intake team/Service Coordinators to build core rosters for new participants.  - Communication: Email shift changes and update ShiftCare and Master Roster accordingly.  - Preferred experience in Shiftcare.  - Coordinating service booking with customers and support staff.  - Acting as a central point of contact for support staff.  - Developing and managing rosters. - Acting as OHS rep and Fire Warden.  - Maintaining files and record management system in line with quality standards.  - Ensuring Fortnightly Master Roster reflects actual ongoing rosters.  Position Duties  - Generating monthly rosters using rostering software.  - Responding to roster inquiries from relevant staff.  - Answering inbound inquiries from customers and assist with inquiries. - Contact customers to ensure service requirements are met.  - Updating rosters based on business needs.  - Contacting customers to advise of rostering changes.  - Contacting relevant staff to advise of roster changes.  - Assisting with general administrative duties to support staff.  - Processing billing runs through the NDIS system.  - Assisting with the management of timesheets for relevant staff.  - Liaising with NDIA staff.  - Assisting with accounts payable / accounts receivable for customer activities.  - Assessing and managing risk in line with quality standards.  - Escalating issues to relevant Team Leaders and Managers.  - Assisting in project work to improve team processes.
