Senior Network Engineer

• Manage the network infrastructure that provides core network connectivity in Portugal, including primary POP sites, transit interconnection, peering, and fiber backhaul services for multiple data centers (DCs). • Ensure all services are available 100% of the time by maintaining a resilient network configuration and rapidly troubleshooting outages, incidents, and health issues. • Collaborate with Development and Support teams to troubleshoot issues, identify improvements, and build tools to accelerate problem resolution. • Support and maintain network infrastructure, including equipment from Juniper, Arista, or other vendors. • Maintain, operate, and configure DWDM systems. • Monitor hardware health, resolve faults, and plan equipment upgrades and EOL/EOS lifecycle activities.

Job Requirements

  • 8–10 years of IT systems experience, including at least 5 years in network engineering within the ISP industry.
  • A relevant technical degree is preferred.
  • Strong skills in internet environments, with experience in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, the OSI model, Ethernet security, and IPv6.
  • Experience with Cisco or Juniper products (including maintenance and configuration of IOS or Junos software).
  • Knowledge of Linux (CentOS/Debian), x86 server hardware, and data center best practices, including cabling and power management.
  • Experience with security issues; access control mechanisms; change management; and configuration policies.
  • Desirable experience with device upgrade software and ISSU processes.

We are currently seeking a talented Sr. Forescout Engineer to join our team. This role will provide engineering support and documentation to create a healthy security posture implementing Comply-To-Connect for our delivered Managed Service supporting the US Army. In this role, you will focus on design, integration, and deployment. You will provide tactical and strategic input on improving overall network operations and Network Access Control using Forescout. The selected candidate must be well versed in architectural best practices and applying them across a breadth of technologies to solve an organizational problem.
