Assurant
• Draft and Negotiate Contracts and Legal Documents (60%) • Lead negotiations related to dealership, agency, and TPA administration agreements • Counsel business leaders on legal risks • Provide legal advice regarding applicable laws and regulations • Participate in cross‑functional teams for strategic projects
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
- Minimum of 6 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate law department.
- Preferred knowledge of Automotive F&I service contracts and ancillary programs, relevant laws and regulations, and industry developments
- Deep experience with - service contract products (home warranty, mobile protection, consumer goods), insurance, or other regulated industries will also be considered
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts
- Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
- Ability to analyze complex legal and regulatory issues and recommend appropriate, defensible actions
- Ability to manage a broad range of issues while delivering high‑quality client service under pressure
- Highly autonomous and self‑motivated, with sound judgment and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally
- Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, and excellent writing and speaking abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build a trusted, collaborative work environment
