Credentialing Specialist, Preventive Medicine – Contract

• Conduct pre-hire licensure verification for physicians and nurse practitioners, including primary source review and confirmation of state-specific requirements • Coordinate and track provider readiness requirements prior to start date, ensuring all licensure and required documentation are complete and organized • Prepare, send, track, and maintain provider contracts and related documents in partnership with internal stakeholders • Generate, route, and maintain collaborative agreements, supervisory documents, and other state-required practice paperwork for nurse practitioners where applicable • Own internal tracking systems for provider licenses, collaborative agreements, contracts, renewals, and other compliance-related deadlines • Monitor renewal dates and proactively manage internal renewal workflows to ensure licenses, agreements, and required documents remain current • Partner directly with a third-party licensure application processor to submit, track, and follow up on state licensure applications and related documentation • Maintain a strong working relationship with the third-party licensure vendor, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and accountability on deliverables • Serve as an internal point of coordination for questions related to provider licensure status, agreements, renewals, and onboarding readiness • Route documents through DocuSign and ensure all agreements and forms are properly executed, stored, and retrievable • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready provider records across internal systems and folders • Track state-specific collaborative practice, licensure, and other provider regulatory requirements and flag changes that may impact operations • Support internal process development and continuous improvement for licensure, contracting, and provider documentation workflows • Collaborate with legal, clinical operations, regulatory, people operations, and external partners to ensure provider compliance processes are smooth and scalable
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of provider and nurse practitioner licensure verification, document management, and compliance-related administrative workflows across all states and Canada
- Experience supporting physician and nurse practitioner onboarding with a focus on licensure, contracting, and collaborative agreements
- Ability to manage multiple timelines, documents, and stakeholders with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
- Comfort working across internal teams and directly managing relationships with external vendors
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, provider and nurse practitioner collaborative agreements and licensing, compliance, legal/regulatory support, or a related field
- Direct experience with pre-hire licensure verification and provider onboarding workflows required
- Experience preparing, tracking, and maintaining provider contracts and related documentation preferred
- Experience generating and managing collaborative agreements and state-specific nurse practitioner practice documents strongly preferred
- Experience working with a third-party licensure application processor or similar vendor strongly preferred
- Experience in a healthcare organization, medical group, digital health company, or legal/regulatory services environment preferred
- Experience with DocuSign and spreadsheet or tracking platforms required
- Excellent organization and follow-through
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to manage sensitive and time-sensitive provider information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate across legal, clinical, and operational teams
- Proficiency with DocuSign, spreadsheets, and provider tracking systems
- Ability to build and maintain reliable tracking processes for renewals and compliance deadlines
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities
- Experience with multi-state licensure processes for physicians and nurse practitioners
- Familiarity with state-by-state nurse practitioner collaborative practice requirements
- Experience maintaining vendor relationships tied to regulatory or licensure support
- Experience building internal trackers, workflows, and SOPs for provider compliance processes
- Experience in preventive medicine, telehealth, or other multi-state clinical environments
