• Design and deliver collaboration and communication solutions that span multiple platforms (Jira, Slack, Confluence, Google Workspace, Zoom) with a focus on user experience and business outcomes. • Build and maintain integrations using automation platforms (Workato, n8n) to connect systems and streamline workflows across Canva. • Partner with teams across Canva to understand their collaboration and communication challenges, translating needs into scalable, well-designed solutions. • Lead improvements to system architecture by reducing technical debt, improving maintainability, and implementing changes that benefit the broader Canva ecosystem. • Own operational health of services—investigating and resolving complex issues, pioneering process improvements, and ensuring platform reliability and performance. • Codify and share technical knowledge through clear documentation, engaging presentations, and active contribution to the systems engineering community at Canva. • Contribute to team growth by providing feedback, mentoring colleagues, and helping interview and assess candidates for the team and broader group.

• This is a Senior Engineering Manager role leading the Solutions Sub Group within Canva's Ecosystem Supergroup. • You'll lead three distinct but tightly connected functions: our Solution Engineering team (~6 engineers), our Developer Toolkits team (~5 engineers), and our System Integrator program (~3 partners). • Taking ownership of the System Integrator program and working across procurement, product, and engineering. • Leading Solution Engineering and go-to-market enablement and ensuring alignment without creating delivery bottlenecks. • Guiding Developer Toolkits forward and ensuring documentation and developer experiences keep pace. • Shaping strategy and influencing the roadmap. • Coaching and growing people at multiple levels.

Role Description As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be a member of cross-functional hardware, software, and system design teams responsible for the realization of complex computing and communications systems.
