• Design of a holistic architecture for system, communication, and diagnostics/monitoring • Analysis of the existing plant and system architecture • Derivation of key functional and non-functional requirements • Identification of communication, diagnostics, and integration needs • Definition of central and decentralized roles • Design of possible communication structures • Design of a messaging and data model • Identification of relevant measurements, status, and diagnostic information • Design of an architecture for a distributed diagnostic concept with local intelligence • Analysis with respect to scalability, robustness, and future-proofing

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree (ongoing) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a comparable field
  • Basic knowledge of industrial communication (Ethernet, fieldbuses, real-time fundamentals)
  • Interest in systems thinking, architecture modeling, and distributed systems
  • Interest in data models, diagnostic, and monitoring concepts
  • Independent, structured, and analytical working style
