Each individual will be paired with an operational lead and will be spear-heading the analysis, forecasting and reporting of the key performance indicators and financial impacts for each area. This function acts as the analytical engine to provide operational and financial insights and support optimal business decision making. Positions in this function conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning. They support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes. They review the work of others. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: - * Business Analysis - Gather, analyze, and interpret business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities - Translate business needs into analytical and reporting requirements - Support forecasting, modeling, and analysis - Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and metrics - Conduct analysis and provide insights to support operational monitoring and data-driven decision-making - Present month-end business results, variance and root cause analysis - * Reporting - Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards - financial, operational performance, inventory - Automate reporting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency - Ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables - Monitor performance against goals - Maintain documentation for reporting requirements and metric definitions You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or Financial Analyst - 3+ years of experience using Advanced Excel features (modeling, PivotTables, PowerQuery/data connections) - 2+ years of experience working with SQL for data extraction and analysis - 2+ years of experience supporting Payment Integrity or similar products - 2+ years of experience working with operations: business process and data analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree - Healthcare industry experience - Experience with Claims data - Advanced experience in Tableau, Alteryx, or equivalent tool - Proven excellent ability to communicate with internal and external clients - Demonstrated ability to effectively and accurately manage a complex system of daily, weekly, monthly quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables as required by internal and external customers - Proven thrive in a fluid environment where priorities pivot based on business priorities - Proven fast learner, analytical thinker, very detail oriented - Proven solid leadership skills *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This role can be based remotely within Canada or in Toronto, Ontario.
