Business Analyst – Sales Operations

• Serve as the primary bridge between B2B, Inside Sales, and IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions • Engage in deep-dive discovery to gather granular requirements and author user stories • Partner directly with B2B and Inside Sales teams to analyze current workflows, identify friction points, and propose technology-driven improvements • Conduct comprehensive process discovery sessions to translate front-line sales challenges into actionable functional requirements • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership to evaluate and prioritize incoming technology requests • Manage the end-to-end delivery of system enhancements • Collaborate with the IT Business Analyst to translate business requirements into refined User Stories and technical specifications • Perform rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that technical builds solve intended sales problems • Proactively research emerging sales technologies and AI trends • Serve as the functional lead for AI sales tools, gathering requirements from the field • Establish a rigorous cadence for reviewing and updating AI knowledge bases, prompts, and playbooks

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in business, information systems, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analysis, or a Systems-focused role
  • Proven experience in business analysis or product ownership, specifically within a Salesforce environment
  • Expertise in writing high-quality User Stories, managing backlogs, and leading UAT
  • Strong ability to "speak both languages” navigating technical conversations with IT and strategic conversations with Sales
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a passion for documentation and process mapping
  • Experience managing or curating content for AI/Large Language Model tools is a significant plus.

Role Description We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the Moosehead Breweries Ready-to-Drink (RTD) portfolio on a national scale. This role can be based remotely within Canada or in Toronto, Ontario. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing reporting structures, leading national pricing strategy and oversight, and managing variable budget analysis to ensure investments deliver maximum commercial impact. In addition, this role provides leadership and coaching to a Business Analyst, fostering strong analytical capabilities and supporting their professional development. The position partners with marketing, sales, finance, and leadership teams to translate complex data into actionable insights that support business growth. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director, Partner Brands. Responsibilities - Design and implement standardized reporting frameworks that improve visibility into business performance across RTD brands, channels, and regions. - Develop dashboards and performance tracking that provide clear insights into sales, distribution, pricing, and promotional effectiveness. - Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline data workflows. - Lead the development and ongoing management of the national pricing strategy across RTD brands and markets. - Monitor pricing performance, margin health, and competitive dynamics across provincial markets. - Provide recommendations on pricing changes, promotional pricing, and trade investments to optimize profitability and competitiveness. - Manage variable budget allocation across brands, provinces, and key customers. - Develop processes to improve budget visibility, forecasting, and performance tracking. - Partner with finance and commercial teams to evaluate ROI and ensure investments are delivering against objectives. - Provide regular reporting and insights into leadership on budget performance and optimization opportunities. - Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across sales performance, consumer demand, and market dynamics. - Support strategic planning, forecasting, and annual planning processes with robust data analysis. - Act as a key analytical partner to partner marketing, sales, and finance teams. - Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development to a Business Analyst, building strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Set clear priorities and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of reporting and insights. - Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment with a focus on continuous improvement. - Support career development through regular feedback, mentoring, and growth planning. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is an asset. - 5-8+ years of experience in business analytics, commercial strategy, finance, or a related field. - Experience within CPG or beverage alcohol is highly preferred. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights. - Experience building reporting frameworks, dashboards, and business intelligence tools. - Advanced proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms. - Strong understanding of pricing strategy, financial analysis, and budget management. - Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
