Principal Solution Architect, Pharma Technical Strategy ABOUT ODAIA ODAIA noun o·da·ia | \ 'oh-day-yeah \ An Ancient Greek word referring to “tools of the trade.” To learn more visit odaia.ai. ODAIA delivers AI-powered commercial intelligence for life sciences - unifying data, accelerating results, and helping commercial teams deepen engagement to enhance care for providers and patients. ODAIA's AI platform transforms complex data into predictive, personalized insights, enabling commercial leaders to understand their customers, anticipate prescribing behaviors, and make the informed, strategic decisions that bring therapies to patients faster. OUR MISSION Reducing patients’ time to therapy by facilitating meaningful interactions with healthcare providers, through human-centric software powered by AI. WHAT’S ON OFFER For 30 years, the Life Sciences industry has relied on a static analytic, consultant-led model for sales and marketing effectiveness. This approach relies on "point-in-time" snapshots that start decaying the moment they are delivered, leading to billions in wasted spend on the wrong HCPs and missed patient windows. At ODAIA, we are making this antiquated model obsolete. We are evolving our Go-To-Market (GTM) motion into a consultative, outcome-driven model, shifting from a transactional SaaS vendor to a Transformation Partner. As Principal Solution Architect, Pharma Technical Strategy you are the technical heartbeat of this transformation. You will bridge the gap between complex pharmaceutical commercial strategy and high-fidelity data engineering, ensuring our platform is not just a tool, but a permanent fixture in our clients' operating models. Reporting to the Vice President, Pharma Technical Strategy, you will be the technical lead within our GTM Pods. You are a "bilingual" leader: you speak the language of Pharma Executives and walk the walk with CTOs and Data Engineers. Unlike traditional pre-sales, you own the technical integrity of the solution from initial discovery through to the transition to scale. You ensure that we solve the customer's hardest problems using our core technology, avoiding the "bespoke trap" while architecting sophisticated, scalable data-to-insight pipelines. WHAT YOU WILL DO Strategic Architecture & Technical Solutioning - Develop a "master-level" understanding of ODAIA’s product architecture, platform capabilities, integrations and data strategies to solution creatively for unique customer challenges. - Ensure every proposal is robust, innovative and feasible within our system's core capabilities, minimizing bespoke work and non-standard engineering debt - Act as a trusted strategic advisor to pharma commercial leaders and executives, designing "Data-to-Insight" blueprints and scalable solutions that solve complex commercial challenges Technical GTM Partnership & Education - Partner with Sales to land and shape strategic accounts, you are responsible for the technical win - ensuring what is promised is executable and mapped to clear Commercial ROI - Lead technical discovery, validate data logic, readiness and solution feasibility, and develop and deliver high-impact technical demonstrations and POCs to prove the transformative power of our models, being "hands-on-keyboard" (SQL/Python) when necessary - Serve as a lead technical "educator" for our strategic clients, sharing our technical methodology and design principles to clients and stakeholders - Deliver technical presentations, develop high-value technical content, architectural frameworks, and best practice guides that empower clients to maximize the ODAIA platform and ensure our design principles are successfully embedded within their commercial operating models Cross Functional Success& Risk Mitigation - Identify technical risks early and design proactive mitigation strategies - Partner with internal teams to access the organization to ensure a seamless transition from sale to value realization, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and fully adopted - Provide direct, "field-tested" feedback and industry use cases to Product and Engineering, ensuring our roadmap stays aligned with the shifting Pharma landscape and our deployment strategies minimize friction WHAT YOU BRING Deep Pharma & Commercial Domain Expertise - 10+ years of experience within the Life Sciences commercial ecosystem (SIP, SFE, Brand Launch) - Understanding of the nuances and application of health and Patient Longitudinal / Claims data, the drug development lifecycle, brand launch strategies, health/claims data, modern commercial frameworks, omnichannel strategy, Next Best Action (NBA) orchestration and how to integrate AI into existing CRM (Veeva/Salesforce) workflows Technical Rigor & Systems Thinking - A Master’s degree (preferred) in a technical field and proficiency in SQL and Python, able to audit data structures, understand API integration patterns, and manipulate complex datasets to validate solution logic - Experience performing in a Solution Architecture, Sales Engineering, Data Science or Technical Consulting role - Expertise in creating architectural diagrams and data flow maps, with the "puzzle-solving" ability and know-how to push the boundaries of what the product can do today, while maintaining architectural discipline - Able to successfully bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution Consultative Executive Presence - A successful track record of supporting complex enterprise sales - Able to maintain independent technical judgment while partnering with sales leaders, able to bring clarity to ambiguity, translating "technical jargon" into "Commercial ROI" for non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence - A passion for mentorship and teaching, with the ability to take complex "under-the-hood" technical concepts and turn them into clear, digestible frameworks that build customer confidence and internal literacy High Growth Mindset - Thrive operating in a lean, highly-autonomous environment, finds moving fast, high-growth and “re-building the engine” exhilarating - Able to shift from 30,000-foot strategy to 3-foot presentation revision in the same hour - A bias for action and ability to find the "best yet fastest" actionable answer rather than chasing the "perfect" one - Hands-on experience using (and building) agentic workflows to handle repetitive technical tasks, understand how to prompt, chain and automate using the latest AI tools and views AI as your primary "operating system" for productivity WHAT WE OFFER Values-Based Culture - We Ignite Innovation, Own It, and Stand Together AI-Native Environment - At ODAIA, we don't just deliver AI - we live it. We use AI and agentic automation to 10x our efficiency and impact, encouraging constant curiosity in leveraging and integrating AI Comprehensive Rewards - Meaningful stock option grants, immediate medical/dental enrollment, and flexible time off Remote-First Flexibility - WFH flexibility with intentional, high-value in-person collaboration and socials LOCATION & BUSINESS TRAVEL ODAIA is a remote first organization, with employees located across Canada and the U.S. Our primary office hub is located in central downtown Toronto and walking distance from Union Station. This role requires travel within the US and Canada to support strategic customer meetings, industry conferences and internal meetings and offsites. EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION Any conditional offer of employment made to a successful candidate will be subject to the full satisfaction with the results of any background and reference checks. JOB PROCESS & INTERVIEW DISCLOSURE ODAIA does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to review applications, filter or analyze resumes. Our recruitment team may use an AI-powered meeting assistant to record and transcribe interviews for note-taking purposes only. This tool helps our recruiters to be fully present during conversations with candidates who provide consent to this tool being used during an interview. This tool is used in compliance with privacy and employment laws across Canada and the U.S. We respect the time candidates invest into participating in our recruitment process. The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 - $275,000. This range represents ODAIA's good-faith estimate based on current market data and internal equity. Final compensation is determined through a comprehensive review of the successful candidate’s unique skill set, specialized experience, certifications and other relevant considerations. As such, the final offer may vary based on these specific factors. Salary expectations will be discussed collaboratively early in the process to ensure alignment. This role is also eligible for health benefits, stock options, and flexible time off policies as mentioned above. Position Status: This is a newly created position and not related to an existing position vacancy or departure. DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION ODAIA is an equal opportunity employer.
