EHR Training Specialist
Office Practicum
Description The Training Specialist provides our clients with optimum knowledge and use of the software and assists them in their transition to Office Practicum. In this role, the incumbent may specialize in either billing or clinical areas. Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities: - Use our blended learning model to train physicians, mid level providers, clinical staff and support staff in the use of Office Practicum’s electronic health records and practice management software. - Delivers training through our different modalities of training: - Instructor Led: - 1-1 web based training - Group Training: - Multiple practices - Remote - Onsite - Onsite - Go live support - Superuser training - Webinar - Group monthly webinars - Perform workflow analyses and develop electronic based practice workflows during the implementation process on an as needed basis. - Regularly plan and deliver education/training required for implementation of software solution for go-live. - Assist in content creation for training outlines as needed - Stay current with software releases - Troubleshoot and communicate potential problems and issues at client sites to other members of the implementation team on an as needed basis. - Regularly provide remote and onsite go-live support for clients. - Work with staff and physicians to optimize the use of software solutions through continuing education and training. Requirements Competencies - Critical Thinking: Problem-solving with a focus on abstract software concepts. - Communication: Expert in presentation, active listening, and technical writing. - Adaptability: Change-tolerant and quick to master new software applications. - Client Management: Service-oriented with the ability to manage expectations under pressure. - Instructional Flexibility: Capable of tailoring content for diverse learning needs. - Ownership: Highly organized, independent, and committed to continuous self-development. - Knowledge: understanding of the healthcare industry, physician office workflows, meaningful use, and patient centered medical home. Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses: - Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred Experience Requirements: - 2-4 years experience training end users on EHR systems at client sites and remotely. - Experience in ambulatory settings, preferably pediatrics. - Experience developing Training Curriculum materials is a plus. Work Environment / Physical demands/ Travel Requirements: - This job operates in a professional remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones. - Travel: 50% or up to 2 weeks per month - Prolonged periods of time sitting when not traveling.
