Technology & Security Consultant III – Autodesk Revit
AECOM
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate Revit models for physical security and ESS projects, including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection systems • Produce complete construction document packages — plans, elevations, sections, schedules, details, and specifications — in Revit and AutoCAD per project requirements • Create and manage Revit families for security-specific equipment (cameras, card readers, gates, bollards, control panels, etc.) • Perform BIM coordination and clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks in multi-discipline environments • Maintain drawing standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and model quality across project phases from SD through CD and CA • Coordinate with MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure security system design integration within the overall facility BIM environment • Manage sheet sets, title blocks, revision tracking, and plotted deliverable packages • Support as-built documentation, record drawing updates, and facility information model (FIM) deliverables • Apply AECOM, federal agency, and owner BIM standards to all deliverables • Assist consultants and project managers with security system design narratives, basis-of-design documents, and equipment specifications • Participate in design review meetings and respond to RFIs and submittal reviews during construction administration • Support the development of risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, or security master plan documents as directed • Apply applicable standards (ICD 705, NISPOM, UFC, FEMA 430, ASIS, IEC 62443) to documentation under the guidance of senior staff
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field with four (4) years of relevant experience
- associate's degree in related fields with six (6) years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
- Minimum 4 years of professional Revit experience in a design or engineering environment
- Experience in Autodesk Revit MEP or Architectural (including family creation, worksharing, and view management)
- Experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting and coordination
- Demonstrated ability to produce construction document packages from concept through permit/bid sets
- Experience with physical security systems concepts (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security)
