• Ensure successful management of accounts on a day-to-day basis from the execution to completion of client projects • Serve as the primary client contact • Facilitate and track projects and financial deliverables • Work closely with the project team members to communicate client needs and expectations • Ensure timelines are developing and potential issues are identified and resolved • Prepare for and lead internal and client status meetings • Understand and ensure the team follows all client required standard operating procedures and requirements • Alert other internal departments of resourcing needs • Draft scope of work and budgets based on client direction • Monitor and adhere to approved budgets • Report budget changes to the client in a timely manner • Maintain accurate financial spreadsheets • Submit invoices, accruals, etc. in a timely manner • Provide timely and accurate project status updates and client requested reports • Actively strive to drive organic growth on assigned accounts by developing and maintaining excellent client relationships
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 plus years of account management experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
- Ability to travel as needed
- Excellent project management skills, including organization, prioritization, and delegating
- Demonstrated understanding of the clinical development process and strategic communication planning
- Excellent financial acumen

• Manage a regional team of 5-10 Technical Account Managers, providing direct oversight of engagement deliverables and professional development. • Analyze adoption trends, utilization data, and use case development to identify and mitigate renewal risks for license and success plan subscriptions. • Direct the resolution of major technical incidents by managing executive-level communications and expectations between the customer and internal teams. • Coordinate with sales departments to identify expansion opportunities for Axonius products within existing customer environments.
SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE (Basic purpose of the job): As a Senior Oncology Account Manager at Exelixis, you will bring deep market knowledge and established relationships within your territory to drive strategic growth. This role is suited for a seasoned oncology sales professional who can independently execute sophisticated account plans, mentor peers, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives. You will refine our approach to compliant engagement with healthcare professionals and serve as a trusted partner to both internal stakeholders and external customers. Your leadership will help shape a high-performance culture grounded in integrity and innovation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Drive strategic execution across a complex territory or multi-state geography, delivering sustained commercial impact. - Expand relationships with healthcare providers and build relations with influential stakeholders to further the knowledge of Exelixis oncology therapies and ensure appropriate use. - Leverage advanced analytics and market insights to refine territory strategy and influence internal planning. - Partner cross-functionally to deliver coordinated solutions that address clinical, operational, and access challenges. - Represent field perspectives in brand planning discussions and contribute to tactical innovation. - Identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and unmet needs within the territory. - Model excellence in compliance, professionalism, and ethical engagement. - Lead strategic pull-through initiatives in collaboration with access and reimbursement teams. - Serve as a field-based ambassador for new product launches, pilots, and strategic initiatives. - Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, integrated delivery networks, and institutional decision-makers. - Support regional leadership in business planning, training, and performance calibration. - Serve as a mentor and resource to junior team members, sharing best practices and supporting skill development. The base pay range for this position is $198,000 - $253,500 annually.
