Technology Manager
VSP Vision
• Provide management within a responsible technical area through operations and change-the-business • Provide direction to the team on a daily basis • Address and navigate technical issues, anticipating and preventing impending issues • Problem solve beyond the scope of an individual team member to an optimal outcome • Partner with deliverable stakeholders to inform others of technical impediments, updates, and progress in relation to timelines or SLAs • Provide detailed technology functional planning supporting the overlaying strategies of GTS and business direction for technical infrastructure, architecture, application systems, and/or related business processes • Drive and adopt incremental and step-function change within technical groups and adjacencies • Engage in planning to meet operational, daily, and quarterly goals; plan and execute department-level technical projects • Identify and mitigate operational and strategic risk • Monitor expenses to ensure the technical area’s costs are within established levels
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports
- Comprehensive knowledge of primary technology area, preferably within a healthcare environment
- Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

The Role You will lead a team of Account Executives (AEs) to drive net new business at Bloomerang. This role is an integral part of the sales organization. You will be responsible for shifting the team from 'Feature Dumpers’' to 'High-Velocity Value Sellers' by providing coaching on connecting technical features to financial outcomes and business objectives. As the Sales Manager, you will teach the AE’s to act as the CEO of their own business and enable them to successfully execute a sales plan and exceed quota by mastering the 'Value Selling' framework, ensuring every AE can identify the prospect’s 'Business Objective' (Revenue Goal) and the cost of inaction. What You Will Do - Beat the Plan by leading a high-performing sales team to surpass revenue targets and maximize market share - Coach AEs to move beyond being 'Tour Guides' who sell features; instead, train them to lead with 'Business Outcomes' (e.g., hitting fundraising goals) to maintain high-velocity deal momentum. - Identify risk within deals to overcome obstacles and forecast with more precision - Foster an environment and culture centered around self development and accountability - Champion a data-driven culture by leveraging analytics and insights to inform decision-making, and follow our qualification frameworks (IMPACT) to eliminate 'Happy Ears' and ensure pipeline accuracy based on confirmed pain, business objectives, and timelines. - Build and maintain a 'Hunter' culture by recruiting and onboarding AEs who demonstrate high grit, own their results without excuses, and can translate technical pain into financial risk and opportunity costs.
