What You’ll Do: Lead Complex ER Cases - Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee relations issues - Conduct thorough, impartial investigations (e.g., misconduct, policy violations) and produce clear defensible documentation - Partner with Legal and senior HR leadership on sensitive or high-risk cases Manager Coaching & Capability Building - Advise and coach managers on corrective action and conflict resolution - Guide leaders through difficult conversations while ensuring consistency and compliance - Identify patterns in ER cases and proactively recommend manager enablement or policy improvements Accommodations & Leave Partnership - Oversee ADA accommodations and interactive process management end-to-end - Partner closely with Benefits or LOA administrators/vendors on FMLA, disability,and state leave programs - Step in to manage complex or escalated leave cases requiring nuanced judgment Compliance & Risk Mitigation - Monitor and apply federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, FLSA and EEOC) - Ensure consistent application of policies and practices across employee populations - Maintain audit-ready documentation and support responses to agency claims or legal inquiries Policy & Process Development - Develop and refine policies, guidelines, and SOPs related to employee relations, accommodations, and workplace conduct - Standardize ER practices to improve consistency, fairness, and scalability Insights & Trends - Analyze employee relations and accommodations trends to identify systemic issues - Provide recommendations to HR and business leaders to reduce risk and improve employee experience Who You Are: - Deep expertise in employee relations, with strong judgment in navigating complex and sensitive situations - Skilled at balancing empathy with clear, compliant decision-making - Strong Communicator who can influence at all levels of the organization - Highly detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and risk mitigation - You thrive in the Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment Required Qualifications - 5+ years of dedicated experience in Employee Relations and Accommodations. - Proven experience leading workplace investigations and managing complex ER cases. - Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and EEOC regulations. - Experience supporting multi-state employee populations Preferred Qualifications - SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification. - Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or telehealth environments. - Experience utilizing third-party leave administrators or LOA systems (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, or Workday) Our Benefits In addition, for salaried positions you would also be eligible for: - Medical, Dental, and Vision plans - Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts - Flexible PTO - 401(k) + Company Match - Life Insurance, Pet insurance, and more Our Company We have a relatively flat organizational structure here at OpenLoop.
