Job Description

Technical Program Manager – Business Insights & Reporting

Blueprint Technologies

Role Description In this role, you will help stand up and operationalize a newly formed AI‑focused organization by building the reporting, data, and insights foundation that leadership relies on to make decisions. You will design and deliver executive‑level dashboards, portfolio health reporting, and a scalable data ecosystem that brings together information from multiple tools and systems. You’ll operate in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment, partnering closely with program leaders, engineering, operations, and strategy stakeholders to define metrics, establish reporting standards, and translate complex data into clear, decision‑ready insights. This role blends hands‑on dashboarding and data modeling with strategic storytelling and cross‑team influence. Responsibilities - Business Insights & Executive Reporting - Own end‑to‑end KPI reporting, including metric definition, instrumentation, refresh cadence, and executive‑level narratives. - Develop and maintain portfolio‑level metrics that reflect progress, throughput, health, risk, and value realization across programs and workstreams. - Produce recurring executive reporting packages (weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly) with clear storylines, insights, and decision points. - Perform data analysis to support leadership decisions, including trend analysis, drivers, risks, and scenario comparisons. - Establish and maintain standardized metric definitions to ensure consistency, trust, and alignment across leadership reporting. - Organizational Data Ecosystem & Backbone - Design how data flows across operational tools and systems (e.g., work tracking, intake, operational platforms) into a unified reporting layer. - Structure and manage the data backbone, including entities, hierarchies, mappings, and standards that enable cross‑tool reporting. - Integrate multiple reporting sources into consolidated, scalable models, eliminating manual data stitching. - Define and enforce data quality controls, including completeness, consistency, lineage, and reconciliation. - Enable “dashboard as the aggregator” patterns, allowing leaders to move seamlessly from high‑level insights to underlying work. - Normalize and reconcile inconsistent hierarchies, rollups, and parent/child relationships using translation and mapping logic. - Dashboarding, Modeling & Performance - Design and build scalable Power BI solutions, including datasets, semantic models, measures, and reusable reporting components. - Apply best practices for tabular data modeling, metric calculations, and dashboard design. - Optimize report performance and reliability through efficient model design, refresh strategies, and query optimization. - Partner with stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into durable, scalable metrics and dashboards. - Collaboration & Influence - Partner closely with program leaders, engineering, operations, finance, and strategy stakeholders. - Act as connective tissue across teams to align on portfolio taxonomy, hierarchies, and rollups. - Influence decision‑making through clear data storytelling and trusted, actionable insights. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience delivering portfolio‑level insights and executive reporting that drives leadership decisions. - Strong capability designing data models and reporting layers across multiple systems and tools. - Proven ability to define KPIs, analyze trends, and translate findings into leadership‑ready narratives. - Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and data storytelling skills. - Minimum 2–4 years of experience with: - Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI. - SQL or Python. - Program and Portfolio Management, including rhythm‑of‑business execution and operational reporting. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in fast‑paced or startup‑like environments with high ambiguity. - Experience integrating work tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) into unified reporting views. - Familiarity with semantic modeling, advanced calculations, and reporting optimization in Power BI. - Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and multi‑source analytics architectures. - Examples of building dashboards, data ecosystems, or operational reporting frameworks end‑to‑end. Salary Range At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
