Your Future Team Our Finance Transformation team comprises people with backgrounds in Finance, Accounting, Technology, and Strategic Operations. We lead projects to help Atlassian's finance operations become more scalable. This is a fully remote role, working primarily on an EST/PST schedule with global stakeholders. Atlassian is looking for a Finance Transformation Manager with program management and Finance transformation experience to join our team. You will support multi-year transformation programs by coordinating the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives to drive transformational change and operational excellence, as well as managing cross-initiative program governance activities. You will also support transformation project delivery, as needed. You will join our expanding Finance Transformation/TMO function and help establish industry-leading finance and accounting processes for a high-growth SaaS company. You will succeed by collaborating with teams, working across the portfolio of Finance transformation projects to help us realize our future state vision for Finance. You will have experience delivering change and supporting Finance Transformation programs within the SaaS industry. This role requires specific experience in a program management capacity for Finance Transformation, including fostering collaboration across stakeholders, influencing executive leadership, adapting to evolving priorities, and ensuring meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Lead program management of finance-related projects, as well as the Finance components of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives - Support overall finance transformation project delivery, including driving activities around requirement gathering, detailed design, and testing and implementation support on an as needed basis - Develop detailed roadmaps, project posters, project plans, timelines, templates, and deliverables related to Finance Transformation work efforts to establish best-in-class transformation program governance - Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Finance, engineering, business partners, and interdependencies across Atlassian to achieve project milestones - Own the communications strategy for transformation programs, as well as inidividual projects, including executive-level updates, status updates, and ongoing program governance cadences (e.g., MBRs, QBRs) - Collaborate with value realization work streams to provide meaningful executive updates around impacted metrics, project benefits, and OKRs across transformation programs and projects - Apply systems thinking to assess the interconnectedness of people, processes, and technology, addressing dependencies holistically, as well as identify themes and patterns across projects to uncover opportunities for improvement, providing strategic recommendations - Establish structure and momentum from ambiguity, creating clarity and actionable plans for stakeholders and teams, working closely with project sponsors, leads, cross-functional teams, and other program managers - Ensure consistent ongoing clarity around scope, deliverables, resources, risks, and decisions to establish operational excellence across governance activities Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Minimum of 7+ years of experience in finance, program management, or other transformation role - Familiarity with Finance process areas/operations (e.g., Quote to Cash, Accounting) and Finance Transformation across operating model components (process, policy, data, technology, reporting, people, etc.) - Combination of program management and delivery experience in large-scale Finance Transformation, with knowledge of detailed design, implementation, and project management methodologies, as well as change management approaches. - Possess a strong work ethic, high energy, innovative, decisive, and willing to challenge the status quo - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving parts of a project across resources, timelines, deliverables, and RAID tracking - Consistent record of motivating and managing change while influencing across various stakeholder groups, departments, and levels - Outstanding collaboration skills to build relationships and provide ongoing clarity - Strong written and verbal communication skills to summarize complex project and program updates to key themes, risks, and actions - Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities, handle and prioritize contending responsibilities, and deliver incremental value. - Ownership mentality, excels when challenging the status quo, setting new strategic/operational direction and is comfortable with multi-year transformation efforts. - Experience working with Project and Portfolio Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar Preferred Qualifications - Technology or Software / SaaS industry experience - Experience with Atlassian suite of solutions - Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs with measurable impact - Understanding of business operations, trends, and best practices, particularly within Finance Transformation - Experience in communications (e.g., stakeholder comms) preferred Compensation At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are: Zone A: $139,500 - $182,125 Zone B: $126,000 - $164,500 Zone C: $116,100 - $151,575 This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
