Business Development Manager – MedPharma

Weiss-Aug

• Act as Market Segment Leader and Subject Matter Expert for Implantable Devices • Sales Targets for New Business Growth: Revenue, Margin, Lead Generation / Partnership Tracking • Stratification and Diversity of Customer Base Including: Large Industry Leader OEMs, Start-ups, Contract Manufacturers • Target Customer Product Portfolios that Technically Alignment with Weiss-Aug Group Capabilities • Provide “Voice of the Customer” Feedback to Drive Strategic Business Planning and Technology Roadmap • “Hunter” Responsible for Establish of Customer New Leads and Strategic Business Relationships, including Expansion of Existing Customer Accounts to New Site and Product Teams • Partner with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Process/Process Innovation (PPI) Teams to Cultivate and “Farm” Existing Customer Base • Lead / Facilitate the delivery of Unique, Competitive, Solution & Innovation Oriented Proposals by working with Cross-Functional Teams (Engineering | NPD / NPI / PPI, Quality, Estimating, Systems Engineers, Accounting) • Negotiate Contracts • Utilize Proven Sales Methodologies including: “Challenger, Solution and Command of Sales” • Partner with Marketing to develop a comprehensive marketing campaign to support related Market Segment Sales Efforts, to Target and Identify Strategic Customers • Create and/or Lead Creation of Content for Marketing, including Social Media, Presentations, Advertisements, Speaking Engagements, or as needed to support Strategic Sales Plan • Gain thorough knowledge of Competitors, Target Markets and Emerging Trends. • Continually Improve knowledge of our Business and Industry via Trade Show Attendance, Trade Journals, Customer Query and Feedback, Competitive Activity, Changing Technologies and Industry Trends • Maintain Positive / Active Working Relationships with Key Engineering and Procurement Personnel at Customer Sites to Assure a Steady Flow of New Opportunities. • Maintain Synergistic relationships with Weiss-Aug Group Team Members – Creating a Trust and Performance Based Model for Shared Growth and Success in meeting MedTech Group Level Goals & Objectives • Prepare Travel Itinerary, Sales Reports and Maintain Company CRM Tool. Extensive Travel (+50%) is Expected.

Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent; engineering degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience within manufacturing companies that service Implantable Device Industry.
  • Professional selling skills, computer skills, and technical skills are required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of associated Regulatory / Quality requirements for MedTech Industry (ISO13485; FDA; CFR820 Part 11 Compliance, GxP, MedAccred)
  • Some knowledge of thermoplastic molding, stamping, industrial manufacturing, machining and/or contract manufacturing.
  • Strong networking and relationships, including an existing list of contacts and industry connections with purchasing/engineering contacts within the respective market segment that fit Weiss-Aug Group Capabilities and Target Customer.
  • Self-motivated with a Strong Work Ethic.
  • Previous experience in CRM Tools.

Role Description The Marketplace Lending Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring that all loans that are credit approved are matched up with an appropriate lender in the B Generous marketplace. Specifically, this role will manage each loan transaction once the B Generous underwriting team has credit-approved a loan and the borrower has signed their term sheet. - Post the deal live into the B Generous lending marketplace. - Oversee each borrower application to ensure it is matched with an appropriate marketplace lender in a timely manner. - Project manage the loan and the relationship between the borrower and lender to ensure a frictionless process. - Interface with lending partners in the B Generous marketplace (e.g. banks, credit unions, private credit funds, CDFIs). - Package and post loan opportunities in the marketplace. - Manage lender due diligence and oversee communications between lenders and borrowers. - Drive deals to close and ensure a seamless origination experience for borrowers. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in banking with a focus on commercial lending, commercial loan underwriting and/or commercial loan operations, or a directly related role within lending, FinTech, or financial services. - Strong understanding of commercial loan closing processes, commercial loan underwriting, and commercial loan documentation requirements. - Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions across various counterparties. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including direct experience interfacing with senior bankers, financial services executives, nonprofit CFOs and CEOs, and senior credit professionals. - Ability to “speak bank” with senior bankers, Chief Credit Officers, Senior Commercial Lenders, and bank CEOs. - Experience working with community banks and/or smaller regional banks (balance sheet $100M – $20B). - Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), loan origination software, and standard productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, Asana). - Detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. - Proactive and accountable, requiring exceptional initiative and strong follow-through.
