Business Development Manager

WEG

• Provide industry-leading service for large industrial motors, generators, and turbines to customers worldwide. • Focus on aftermarket business development and sales activities for WEG and non-WEG products. • Develop close working relationships with users and distributors within various industry segments. • Responsible for sales-related activities to support bookings/sales growth from existing customers and cultivate new customers. • Develop sales and call strategies; increase exposure at Users and distributors. • Request feedback from customers, identify project/customer details vital for quote strategy. • Assist in creating accurate quotations based on WEG's offerings. • Mentor and train junior team members. • Domestic and international travel of up to 100%.

Job Requirements

  • BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial technology or related field
  • 2+ years of general industrial inside sales experience
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency to affect timely response and resolution to customer requests.
  • Proven ability to keep multiple tasks and activities coordinated, prioritized, documented, and in motion or progress at one time.
  • Demonstrated capacity for social interface with internal and external customers as required, achieving customer satisfaction excellence.
  • Proven ability to effectively deal with difficult customers through oral and written communication.
  • Proficient MS Suite programs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with Inside Service Sales Support and Customers effectively.
  • Self-starting, results oriented, flexible, and team player.

Role Description The Marketplace Lending Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring that all loans that are credit approved are matched up with an appropriate lender in the B Generous marketplace. Specifically, this role will manage each loan transaction once the B Generous underwriting team has credit-approved a loan and the borrower has signed their term sheet. - Post the deal live into the B Generous lending marketplace. - Oversee each borrower application to ensure it is matched with an appropriate marketplace lender in a timely manner. - Project manage the loan and the relationship between the borrower and lender to ensure a frictionless process. - Interface with lending partners in the B Generous marketplace (e.g. banks, credit unions, private credit funds, CDFIs). - Package and post loan opportunities in the marketplace. - Manage lender due diligence and oversee communications between lenders and borrowers. - Drive deals to close and ensure a seamless origination experience for borrowers. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in banking with a focus on commercial lending, commercial loan underwriting and/or commercial loan operations, or a directly related role within lending, FinTech, or financial services. - Strong understanding of commercial loan closing processes, commercial loan underwriting, and commercial loan documentation requirements. - Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions across various counterparties. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including direct experience interfacing with senior bankers, financial services executives, nonprofit CFOs and CEOs, and senior credit professionals. - Ability to “speak bank” with senior bankers, Chief Credit Officers, Senior Commercial Lenders, and bank CEOs. - Experience working with community banks and/or smaller regional banks (balance sheet $100M – $20B). - Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), loan origination software, and standard productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, Asana). - Detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. - Proactive and accountable, requiring exceptional initiative and strong follow-through. Requirements - Experience working with private credit funds, institutional commercial lending platforms, or loan syndication/participation structures. - Experience in nonprofit operations and/or nonprofit finance, community development finance (CDFIs), commercial lending, or mission-driven financial services. - Knowledge of revenue-based financing, alternative lending structures, or marketplace lending operations. - Experience in lender relationship management, capital markets operations, or loan trading/secondary market activities. - Looking for a long-term fit: someone to grow with the company over many years, be promoted, and rise to a senior role.
