Job Description

Head of Content

Properstar

• Own the content strategy. What we publish, where, in which language, for whom, and why. • Make every piece pull its weight. • Run the blog at scale. Editorial calendar, briefs, production, distribution. • Ship newsletters that people actually open. • Own product marketing. Translate features into stories. • Run social. Pick the channels that matter for our markets. • Own PR and external communication. Pitches, press lists, narrative work, crisis response if needed. • Build the link strategy. Earned, partnered, programmatic. • Build the playbooks. Encode them as Claude skills so the team and the agents can run them. • Brief, review, iterate. Agents handle production. You handle the thinking. • Lead the team. Set the direction, raise the bar, unblock them, ship together. • Talk to customers. Look at the data yourself. Bring back what you learn.

Job Requirements

  • Content track record. You've built and run content programs that moved real metrics — traffic, leads, brand search, share of voice — in a multi-country, multi-language setup.
  • Range. Blog, newsletter, social, PR, product marketing, linking. You don't have to be world-class at all of them, but you've owned several and have strong opinions on the rest.
  • Editorial judgment. You can tell a good headline from a clever one.
  • SEO instinct. You understand how content earns rankings, how it earns links, and how it converts.
  • Deep AI fluency. Claude is your daily driver, in Cowork and Code.
  • Data-driven. Data doesn't lie. You measure what works, kill what doesn't, and don't ship content you can't account for.
  • Hands-on. You write the briefs, edit the drafts, pick the topics, pitch the journalists.
  • Craft. You notice details that matter.
  • Judgment. You can decide with incomplete information.
  • Ownership. You take a problem from brief to result. No handoffs.
  • Small team, full stack.
  • Leadership. You manage one to two people.
  • Clarity. You explain things simply.

Benefits

  • A content function to own end to end.
  • No committees, no hand-holding.
  • A team already shipping, ready to be led well.
  • The AI stack you'd struggle to assemble elsewhere.
  • All paid for, all yours.
  • A title with weight.
  • Competitive comp aligned with your market.
