• Own the Discovery Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end e-discovery process, including researching electronic records, mapping data environments, and managing the defensive gathering of information. • Drive Data Preservation: Design, implement, and audit legal hold policies to ensure all relevant information is captured and secured across our tech stack (Slack, Jira, AWS, etc.). • Bridge the Gap with Outside Counsel: Serve as the primary point of contact for outside counsel, ensuring they have the materials needed for litigation while preventing redundant work or over-collection. • Investigative Fact Finding: Proactively identify internal witnesses, document their knowledge, and assist in preparing them for depositions and discovery. • Policy Architecture: Draft and implement critical legal policies, including how OpenLoop handles service of process, litigation workflows, and media inquiries. • High-Volume Management: Efficiently handle routine subpoena requests and discovery motions without losing sight of larger litigation milestones.
Job Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with a mix of "Big Law" training and in-house experience.
- Deep E-Discovery Expertise: Advanced knowledge of electronic records management and discovery software (e.g., Relativity, Logikcull, or similar).
- Class Action Experience: Proven track record of supporting large-scale, multi-jurisdictional litigation.
- Tech Literacy: Ability to navigate modern cloud-based work environments and explain technical data structures to outside counsel.
