Overview Seeking a Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to support the U.S. Border Patrol’s Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. We are seeking for an energetic self-starter individual who is focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by an interdisciplinary, collaborative team. The candidate will join our T&E Team and provide full-time support. This position applies for teleworking, but client may require in-person meetings in their location in Washington, D.C. Some travel within the United States will be required. Responsibilities The T&E Engineer will work with other systems engineers, program managers, and technical subject matter experts to plan, execute technology demonstrations, system development testing, operational testing, operational assessment, and other T&E related activities, as well as data analysis and reporting of test and evaluation events. Specific responsibilities may include: - Leading or supporting the planning, execution, data collection, and reporting of technology demonstrations, system acceptance tests, and other technology and/or systems evaluation and assessment efforts - Leading or supporting the development of engineering plans and artifacts including: - Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) - Testing and Evaluation Gate Reviews (TEGR) - Test case / scenario designs - Systems Engineering Plans (SEP) - Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) - Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) - Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) - Participating in or leading T&E IPTs and/or working groups - Participating in program-level review boards, including engineering, configuration, risk, and test review boards - Coordinating and tracking project activities and status and provide status reporting and recommendations to the customer - Additional responsibilities include training and managing test team in test and evaluation activities and assisting in the development of policies and procedures designed to streamline test and evaluation activities Qualifications - Senior Level -10+ years of relevant experience and a STEM BS degree or 7 years relevant experience and a MS degree in systems engineering. - Mid Level - 5-7 years of relevant experience and a STEM BS degree or 4 years relevant experience and a MS degree in systems engineering. - Experience in developing, executing T&E strategy and plans in support of large, complex programs - Knowledge of DHS or DoD acquisition life cycle framework and systems engineering life cycle (SELC) framework - Knowledge of a broad spectrum of technical fields and engineering disciplines - Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and leadership skills - Flexible in adapting to change, and a strong desire to learn and acquire new skills. - Self-motivated, proactive, independent performer who can perform well in a collaborative, team environment - All positions require eligibility to acquire CBP BI, for which you must be a U.S Citizen. Role Description The PS business area is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Development program. This role will be the primary point of contact for Supplier Quality on THAAD Development. The responsibilities include: - Develop robust and highly capable supplier processes that support THAAD production and deliver consistent conforming material on-time. - Perform and Evaluate First Article Inspections per the requirements of AS9102 and train suppliers to meet BAE Systems expectations. - Partner with the Category Supplier Quality team on problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances. - Perform Production Process Verifications (PPV's) at supplier locations and participate in PPAP review process and other aspects of APQP. - Flow down contractual requirements to suppliers based on QMS / part / risk / customer requirements via quality clausing codes. - Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and program quality to identify part and supplier risk for proactive mitigation activities. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree with 6-8+ years of related experience or 10-12+ years of experience in lieu of degree. - Experience with development programs and/or qualification of new suppliers in support of development efforts. - Experience/knowledge with IR Focal Plane Array/semiconductor manufacturing. - Experience/knowledge in photonics/semiconductor packaging and assembly processes. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, requirements.
