Job Description

Founding CTO

Savoy Life

Savoy Life is a distributed senior living platform focused on bridging the gap between senior living communities and healthcare. With a team of specialized clinicians, including nurses and geriatricians, Savoy Life offers a tech-enabled solution that empowers senior living operators to do their jobs more effectively and efficiently so they can move residents into their communities faster and keep them healthier for longer. What You’ll Do Build Savoy Life’s Technology Platform from the Ground Up Partner directly with our CEO and COO to design, architect, and build the technical foundation that powers Savoy Life’s caregiving‑first model. You will own the creation of our data infrastructure, intelligence layer, and early products that unify caregiving and clinical data—enabling risk stratification, clinical decision support, and scalable continuous care. Your work will transform today’s human‑intensive process into a proprietary, tech‑enabled platform that can serve seniors everywhere, not just in senior living facilities. Lead AI/ML‑Driven Capabilities - Implement and own the technical strategy for AI‑enabled clinical signals, early‑risk detection, sentiment analysis, and proactive care workflows. - Leverage LLMs to power both conversational, virtual rounding, and structured clinical summaries. - Use AI‑native tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, GitHub tools, agents) to accelerate prototyping and development velocity. Develop Healthcare‑Grade Data Integration Pipelines - Create our data infrastructure, automated AI/BI driven insights, and BI querying - Build and scale ETL pipelines that ingest data from QHIN data, HIEs, internal Savoy tools and potentially beyond. - Ensure data integrity and traceability across a wide variety of structured and unstructured inputs. Own Security, Compliance & Reliability - Build Savoy’s platform with HIPAA compliance and senior‑care regulatory needs from day one. - Implement secure data storage, encryption, auditing, access control, and monitoring frameworks. - Establish and enforce best practices for uptime, reliability, and operational readiness. Create and Scale the Engineering Organization - After building the first versions of our product, you’ll recruit, mentor, and develop engineers as the organization scales. - Establish engineering culture, SDLC practices, architectural standards, and performance expectations. Who You Are A Founder‑Level Technologist - 10+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record of building and shipping complex, high‑impact products. - Experience designing and scaling backend systems, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data platforms. - Comfortable owning technical architecture end‑to‑end in a fast‑moving startup setting. Deep Backend & Infrastructure Expertise - Expertise in database design, distributed systems, and event‑driven architectures. - Hands‑on experience deploying secure, scalable systems on AWS/Azure/GCP. Healthcare Data Fluency - Experience with clinical data structures (EHR, care notes, vitals, symptoms), healthcare integration standards (FHIR/HL7), or related domains. - Understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and the nuances of clinical workflows. AI‑Forward Builder - Experience using LLMs to build production features (NLP, summarization, conversational AI, risk prediction, or agent frameworks). - Comfortable with prompt engineering, model selection, and grounding strategies. Security & Compliance Mindset - Deep understanding of secure system design, encryption standards, access control models, auditability, and threat modeling. - Experience building systems for regulated industries is a strong plus. Startup Operator - Thrives in ambiguity, moves with urgency, and brings an ownership mentality. - Excited to build v0 → v1 → scale while wearing multiple hats. - Motivated by delivering better healthcare outcomes for seniors and their families. Bonus Points - Experience building care‑enablement, elder care, or digital health tools - Familiarity with clinical terminology, LOINC/SNOMED codes, or care workflows - Experience with ambient voice interfaces, IVR systems, or voice AI - Mobile experience (React Native, Flutter) for caregiver/patient‑facing apps - Previous founding engineer or technical co‑founder experience Why This Role Matters Savoy Life is redefining how healthcare is delivered in senior living communities by embedding clinical intelligence and proactive care where it’s needed most. You will be the architect and builder behind the systems powering that transformation — from the Age‑in‑Place app to autonomous virtual rounding — ultimately improving outcomes and reducing hospitalizations for seniors across the country. We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer: You’ll receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.

This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description The Chief MSP Officer will architect WatchGuard's MSP growth engine, a commercial, community-driven function built to shift brand perception, accelerate partner recruitment, and generate measurable revenue in the MSP segment. - This is a build with a clear arc. - Year one is presence and momentum, getting into the right rooms and conversations, which immediately bolsters partner recruitment. - Year two introduces owned infrastructure, revenue-generating communities and enablement resources that convert momentum into pipeline. - Year three is the flywheel, a self-reinforcing engine where brand, community, and enablement drive each other. Qualifications - You've run something real, a business unit, a market segment, a community that generated commercial outcomes. - You can command a room of skeptical MSP operators and hold your own at an exec table. - You've been close enough to the market to know what's broken and frustrated enough by the gap between insight and action. - You want to build something you can point to. Requirements - An external presence at the events, peer groups, and industry stages where MSPs make decisions, representing WatchGuard with consistency and credibility. - Early partner recruitment impact driven by relationships and reputation before the owned infrastructure even exists. - Revenue-generating MSP communities and enablement platforms, designed and owned by WatchGuard, launched in year two. - Internal advocacy that carries real MSP signal into product, packaging, and GTM decisions, and actually moves them. Benefits - Partner recruitment starts accelerating in year one as market presence builds. - Owned community and enablement infrastructure launches in year two and begins generating measurable pipeline. - By year three, the MSP growth engine runs with its own momentum and WatchGuard is a recognized, sought-after name in the ecosystem. - The MSP voice has a permanent seat at the leadership table, and you can point to decisions that changed because of it.
