• Lead end‑to‑end project management for VCF deployments, expansions, lifecycle upgrades, and cloud transformation initiatives. • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, communication plans, and stakeholder maps. • Facilitate project kickoff sessions, discovery workshops, and recurring status meetings with internal and customer teams. • Ensure project scope, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined, documented, and communicated. • Coordinate engineering, design teams, PMO, procurement, and customer resources to ensure smooth execution. • Partner closely with VCF Principal Engineers and solution designers to translate technical requirements into actionable delivery plans. • Manage hardware logistics, SDDC Manager milestones, and environment readiness activities. • Identify, track, and mitigate risks across technical, operational, and organizational dimensions. • Drive structured change control processes for scope adjustments, timeline impacts, and resource shifts. • Provide clear, concise, and timely status updates, executive summaries, and project documentation. • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle. • Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards and align with VMware/Broadcom best practices. • Continuously evaluate and improve delivery processes, templates, and methodologies.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of project management experience in IT consulting, systems integration, or enterprise infrastructure.
- 2+ years managing technical projects involving virtualization, cloud, networking, or datacenter technologies.
- Familiarity with VMware technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) and general understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation concepts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at different stages of the lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex dependencies and cross‑team coordination.
- Experience leading remote, distributed teams.
- PMP certification (or in progress).

Position Overview This position will lead cross organizational teams, providing project management support on multiple small, mid-level, and enterprise level software projects simultaneously with very limited oversight from management. Software project support includes the assessment, maintenance, documentation, modernization, testing, and implementation for both custom applications and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products. Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities) The project manager is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives at the Hanford site which will include; defining tasks and timelines, coordinating across departments, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery. The project manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, contractual commitments, and goals. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following: Schedule Management: - Create and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource allocations. - Regularly meet with development team members to ensure balance between demand and capacity, review actual hours worked vs planned hours to ensure deadlines and budgets are maintained. Estimating and Budget Management: - Provide ROM estimates utilizing the approved OSC/HMIS Business Office processes with input from development team. - Ability to create a Detailed Cost Estimate to provide a more comprehensive response when requested by customer utilizing the approved OSC/HMIS Business Office processes. - Once approval and funds are received, ensure project cost are tracked throughout project life cycle against the planned schedule and budget. - Manage any cost variance and report overall project progress and execution within the project portfolio management system as required. - Demonstrate basic understanding of and ability to apply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques to projects as required.
