This role requires strong SQL development capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex healthcare datasets in a secure environment. Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop, optimize, and maintain T‑SQL code within SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). - Apply strong knowledge of relational database structures, table relationships, and SQL‑based data modeling. - Work with raw data files and perform necessary transformations, cleansing, and restructuring. - Troubleshoot and resolve SQL coding issues and data inconsistencies using structured debugging methods. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines; some projects may require after‑hours work. - Operate effectively in a remote environment and apply basic networking concepts to move data across systems securely. - Maintain accurate documentation and update Helpdesk tickets throughout project lifecycles. - Adhere to Health Catalyst security standards for handling and protecting PHI. - Work with multiple datasets, including merging and reconciling data from various sources. - Develop a working understanding of cancer registry concepts and industry standards. - Collaborate with CRStar Client Advocate Specialist team members to validate data conversions from external vendor systems. - Enhance, refactor, and customize existing SQL scripts to meet evolving functional needs. - Apply logical, methodical problem‑solving techniques and avoid assumptions when analyzing data. - Recognize when to work independently and when to seek guidance; follow direction effectively. - Providing Level 2 IT support for the CRStar product. What you Bring to the Role: - Demonstrated success in complex technical environments requiring analytical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills. - Ability to independently evaluate business and technical challenges, identify dependencies, and drive tasks to completion. - 2+ years of experience in a technology‑focused role, ideally involving SaaS configuration or technical product support. - Strong customer service orientation and relationship‑building skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Preferred Experience & Education: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. - Experience working in a healthcare environment (clinical or administrative). - Familiarity with regulatory reporting programs such as MIPS, MSSP, HEDIS, or Stars. - Experience with clinical registries (e.g., American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Society of Thoracic Surgeons). - Experience working with project management software solutions, including Azure DevOps (ADO) and / or Smartsheet. Information Security and Compliance Responsibilities: - Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security. - Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy. - Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
