Role Description We are looking for a Data Scientist who will derive meaning from data through the creation and deployment of data-driven approaches to solve problems and answer important policy questions for clients. A Data Scientist owns data processing and analysis tasks and supports more senior level data science staff in implementing statistical, machine learning, generative AI, and other data science methods for use in research reports, internal systems, or client systems. Role Description Mathematica is seeking an experienced Programming Lead to drive the development of measures, analytics, and data processing capabilities within the Imersis platform. Imersis is a cloud-based analytics platform that helps state Medicaid agencies transform complex T-MSIS data into actionable insights. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play an integral role in producing high quality proposals that contribute to Mathematica’s success in engaging meaningful work. We seek a department director for our Federal Medicaid Department (either at the Executive Director or Vice President level), a mature market, providing advisory services to the Centers for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Medicaid and CHIP Payment Advisory Commission (MACPAC) and numerous other U.S. Department of Health and Human Services offices and agencies. The department leader will drive results and deepen relationships with CMS and other Federal agencies working with the Medicaid program, as well as provide support and guidance to our State Medicaid group. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of our Federal Payors and Delivery Transformation (FPDT) division. Mathematica’s current Federal Medicaid practice is approximately 180 people supporting programs such as: - 1115 waiver technical assistance - Medicaid data quality and analytics - Technical assistance to states on a variety of policy and operational issues The executive should have substantial Medicaid policy and strategy experience, and significant consulting experience at either the Federal or state levels.
