Job Description The Role GM’s People Analytics CoE is looking for a Sr. HR Reporting Analyst to join its Global Workforce Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing reporting support across HR and business teams by developing solutions leveraging Workday reporting functionality including reports and calculated fields, dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets. You will have comprehensive Workday reporting knowledge, understand Workday data structures, processes and advanced reporting tools which will enable you to guide the overall design from ideation to development, delivery and enablement. You will utilize Workday and other HR data sources to manage and fulfill reporting requests from different stakeholders including but not limited to Managers, HR Partners, HR COEs, Finance, and Legal teams. Responsibilities Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to gather report requirements and provide best practice guidance on reporting solutions. - Develop, deliver, and enable complex reports and dashboards using Workday to support HR and business needs, e.g., advanced, composite, and matrix reports using Workday Reporting functionality including calculated fields, Report Writer, and scheduling. - Manage ongoing and ad-hoc reporting requests including global legal, compliance, audit, and regulatory reports. - Proactively identify opportunities for automated self-service solutions that support talent decisions. - Work with People Analytics teams and key stakeholders to gather data and reporting requirements and manage development and delivery of reporting products. - Develop and maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, custom applications, and other data products and processes in the HR reporting domain. - Participate in testing and validation of reports, dashboards, and custom fields/calculations ensuring they function correctly within Workday and the downstream data warehouse environment. - Work closely with HRTO and HR IT teams on resolving process, technology, configuration, or integration issues. - Coordinate assigned deliverable schedules to ensure timeliness are met. - Actively participate in the Workday community looking for enhancements and contributing expertise and ideas. Required Skills and Experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday reporting, including building and delivering complex calculated fields, advanced, matrix, and composite reports, dashboards, scorecards, Worksheets, and Discovery Boards - Expert-level proficiency in Workday Report Writer, including Composite Reporting, Worksheets, and Discovery Boards - Excellent stakeholder management consulting experience, with the ability to educate stakeholders on what’s possible versus what’s not within Workday and other reporting tools - Strong business requirement gathering skills, including the ability to recommend appropriate reporting outlets and tools based on stakeholder needs - Ability to translate business requirements into insightful, actionable reporting solutions - Strong understanding of HR data and employee lifecycle processes (e.g., talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, workforce planning, position management, learning and development) - Familiarity with legal, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements and global/local data collection processes - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience supporting HR data and reporting teams and developing automated, self-service reporting solutions in Workday and/or across other HR systems Preferred Skills and Experience - Workday reporting certifications - Workforce planning experience - Experience with data warehousing, data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, R, or Python Compensation The compensation information is a good faith estimate only.
