Position Summary This role owns project performance (safety, cost, quality, and schedule) and serves as the client’s day-to-day point of contact while reporting results to an Area or Project Manager. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Safety Awareness: o Enforce all customer, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and corporate safety policies. o Lead daily safety briefings, job-site audits, and incident investigations. Project Planning and Execution: o Develop and update detailed work plans, manpower forecasts, and look-ahead schedules o Allocate crew assignments and verify craft competency. o Lead and direct crews and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project scope and expectations. o Secure tools, equipment, and materials; verify deliveries and inspect incoming product. o Ensure documentation including daily reports, time entries, and permits are complete and accurate. o Actively manage schedules to maintain project momentum and meet deadlines. o Maintain accurate timecards, daily reports, and work permits. Financial Management o Apply industry best practices to minimize rework, delays, and cost overruns. o Monitor labor hours, material usage, and change orders to control project budget. o Collaborate with PMs and Operations for financial reporting. Quality Control: o Ensure all work complies with customer specifications, industry codes, and internal standards. o Conduct inspections and enforce corrective actions when necessary. o Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for documentation and turnover packages. Customer Focus: o Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers. o Maintain open communication and promptly resolve issues or concerns. o Support customer satisfaction through transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism. Critical Thinking: o Identify, analyze, and resolve project challenges swiftly and effectively. o Anticipate potential obstacles and take preemptive corrective action. o Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining forward project momentum.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- o Minimum of 5–10 years’ experience as an Electrical Foreman in industrial environments.
- o Deep knowledge of NEC, electrical installation standards, and construction practices.
- o Strong understanding of electrical services, construction methods, and relevant safety regulations.
- o Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
- o Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); familiarity with Lotus Notes preferred.
- Physical Requirements:
- o Stand/walk frequently (33%–66%).
- o Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- o Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching.
- Work Environment:
- Exposure to various site conditions, including extreme weather, noise, dust, and environmental hazards.
- Irregular and extended working hours may be required, including evenings and weekends.
- Mental Demands:
- Independent decision-making under pressure.
- Multitasking and complex planning.
