Role Description Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Solution Consultant who will be responsible for conducting pre-sales, business operational reviews, and product evaluations of all applicable Ivans, Cytora, and Applied Systems’ solutions in North America. The Solution Consultant position is the Sales division’s resource for consulting, solution engineering, and product demonstrations to prove business value to carrier, agency, and broker prospects and clients. The Solution Consulting department works closely with Sales and Services to recommend a solution offering and enable that offering to be effectively evaluated and delivered. The Solution Consulting department directly impacts sales bookings for the company. The role requires current knowledge of the insurance industry and daily operations of insurance carriers, agencies, brokerages, MGA’s, MGU’s, and GA’s. What You’ll Do - Collaborate with the Sales team to discover and document strategic and functional goals and technical requirements of a prospect/client. - Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations and proofs of concept to position the value of Ivans, Cytora, and Applied Systems' solutions from a technical and business perspective to all levels of leadership and roles within an organization, including technical stakeholders and C-suite executives. - Proves alignment with Ivans, Cytora, and Applied Systems’ products and documents how such changes will lower costs, increase profitability, and/or increase revenue. - Develops, presents, or responds to proposals for specific prospect/client requirements, including request for proposal responses and prospect/client-facing documentation of discoveries and demonstrations. - Coordinates product demonstrations, proofs of concepts, trial installations (if applicable), and site visits with prospects and clients. - Collaborates with the Sales team on hand-offs to and engagements with resources at the appropriate phase of the sales cycle; resources include Integration Services, Product Engineering, Infrastructure Services, Data Services, Enterprise Services, Education Services, and Activation Services. - Keeps informed on industry news, trends, and competitors. Qualifications - 5+ years of P&C insurance carrier and/or MGA experience or carrier SaaS sales equivalent. - Must have API fluency with REST APIs, including the ability to perform hands-on work with tools like Postman. - Must have a strong passion for driving business through a consultative method. - Advanced ability to discourse using insurance industry terminology and discuss insurance-specific issues/needs of consumers. - Ability to develop technical understanding of software architecture and capability. - Have working knowledge of configuring and testing AI-based products. - Can work remotely from home office in North America. Must be able to travel up to 50% and is geographically near a major airport. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
