Role Description The Sales Representative is a front-line growth driver for Numera’s SMB business—responsible not just for closing deals, but for helping business owners navigate increasingly complex accounting and tax needs as they grow. In this role, you’ll engage founders and operators at pivotal moments in their journey, uncovering challenges related to bookkeeping accuracy, tax compliance, cash flow visibility, and financial decision-making. You’ll guide prospects toward solutions that simplify their finances today and scale with them over time. This is a consultative, impact-oriented sales role for someone who values substance over scripts. You’ll own your pipeline end-to-end, build trusted relationships across the SMB ecosystem, and contribute directly to durable, long-term revenue growth. What You'll Do - Ecosystem Networking: Develop and strengthen referral and partnership relationships with accountants, advisors, and SMB service providers - Referral Lead Generation: Create bidirectional referral streams that expand Numera’s reach and partner value - Discovery & Needs Analysis: Conduct structured conversations to uncover client needs and align Numera solutions to business goals - Solution Positioning: Communicate how Numera’s accounting and tax offerings solve client pain points and add long-term financial clarity - Sales Coordination: Partner with delivery and onboarding teams for smooth transition post-close and ensure client satisfaction - CRM Ownership: Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and deal activity in Streak CRM - Target Attainment: Consistently meet or exceed revenue and activity goals Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - 5+ years of sales experience, with a strong record in consultative selling, preferably in professional services, accounting, or financial solutions - Demonstrated ability to drive full-cycle sales with SMB customers - Comfort engaging referral partners and cultivating long-term business relationships Benefits - Salary range: $100k plus bonus to commensurate with experience
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of sales experience, with a strong record in consultative selling, preferably in professional services, accounting, or financial solutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive full-cycle sales with SMB customers
- Comfort engaging referral partners and cultivating long-term business relationships
