Location Address: 1000 Weis Remote RoadJob Description: The primary purpose of this position is to drive consistent Fresh execution across an assigned district through field support, coaching, and execution validation. This role partners closely with store leadership and store associates to reinforce Fresh operational standards, ensure production consistency, strengthen merchandising and in‑stock execution, and support performance outcomes related to sales, profit, labor effectiveness, and known loss reduction. The incumbent serves as a key operational partner to the District Manager and collaborates with the Regional Operations Fresh Specialist and Store Support Center (SSC) partners to ensure Fresh priorities are communicated clearly and executed consistently at store level within the assigned district. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. This position has multi-unit responsibility. The final positions placement location will be determined based on the selected candidate's residence location. There are multiple positions (one position per District) for this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: - Support consistent execution of Fresh operational standards across all stores in the assigned district by providing hands‑on field support, coaching, and execution reinforcement. Conduct regular store visits to validate Fresh readiness and in‑store conditions, including production routines, product quality, rotation, sanitation expectations, backroom and cooler/freezer organization, and adherence to key Fresh standards. - Drive improved Fresh execution by identifying store gaps, reinforcing expectations, and partnering with store leadership to implement practical solutions. Lead through influence by establishing credibility, demonstrating standards, and reinforcing what “great looks like” to improve consistency across locations. Provide follow‑up support to ensure progress is sustained and standards remain consistent over time. - Support district performance improvement with a focus on Fresh sales growth, profit/margin performance, labor effectiveness, and known loss reduction. Reinforce disciplined routines and labor practices that improve productivity, support the customer experience, and reduce inefficiencies. Promote strong execution of Fresh standards that drive profitable sales and improve shrink performance. - Strengthen known loss reduction efforts by reinforcing disciplined execution of Fresh processes that impact shrink, including rotation, dating, handling, cold chain discipline, damage reduction, and consistent production standards. Support improved Purchase‑to‑Sales performance by reinforcing ordering accuracy, inventory discipline, CGO compliance, and operational behaviors that reduce unnecessary loss and improve product availability. - Reinforce consistent execution of Fresh Item Management (FIM) expectations using the platform. Partner with store leadership and store associates to ensure FIM is used as intended to guide production requirements, ordering decisions, and forecasting discipline, supporting consistent in‑stock performance while reducing loss. - Cascade district and regional operational priorities to stores with clarity and consistency, ensuring expectations are understood and executed uniformly across the district. Reinforce alignment between operational direction and merchandising initiatives to reduce conflicting priorities and strengthen execution discipline. Serve as a feedback channel for execution barriers and improvement opportunities by escalating trends and store needs to the District Manager and Regional Operations Fresh Specialist. - Support improved Store Operations Review (SOR) performance and Fresh operational compliance by reinforcing readiness standards, audit expectations, and disciplined execution. Promote food safety, quality standards, and compliance expectations through consistent reinforcement of Fresh routines and department readiness, including compliance regarding all internal and external audit processes (e.g., food safety and operational audits). - Demonstrate and reinforce strong Fresh product and institutional knowledge. Support store teams in understanding key product attributes, item differences, seasonality, and customer expectations across Fresh areas, ensuring consistent product handling, display execution, and service standards. Reinforce training expectations related to product knowledge depth and operational consistency. - Support training and development efforts by reinforcing Fresh execution standards, routines, and expectations with store leadership and store associates. Contribute to the success of Fresh transitions, seasonal programs, inventory events, and other district or regional priorities as assigned. - Demonstrate and reinforce customer-first behaviors and service expectations by modeling strong customer experience standards, coaching store teams on service behaviors, and ensuring operational execution supports an excellent customer experience. - Conduct routine competition checks to evaluate competitor execution, pricing and promotional activity, merchandising standards, and customer service practices. Share insights with operations leadership and partners to inform priorities and strengthen execution. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not directly supervise associates. The Fresh Lead drives results through influence, coaching, partnership, and follow‑up with store leadership and store associates. The role supports accountability by reinforcing clear expectations, validating execution in the field, and partnering with the District Manager to address persistent barriers to performance. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
