Position Summary Flowco Inc. is seeking a highly motivated IT Field Technician to support operational sites across the continental United States, primarily in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. This role is remote but requires frequent travel to company facilities to provide hands-on technical support. This position supports infrastructure, workstations, printers, and software while working closely with the corporate IT team. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential, as travel may occasionally be required with short notice and for trips lasting up to one week. Key Responsibilities Field IT Support Travel to company locations to provide onsite IT support and troubleshooting. Install, configure, and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, and wireless access points. Perform network troubleshooting including connectivity issues, cabling problems, and configuration verification. Install and terminate Ethernet cabling, patch panels, and structured cabling systems. Assist with site IT deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure projects. Desktop and End-User Support Install, configure, and support workstations, laptops, and mobile devices. Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and peripheral devices. Perform software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for business applications. Provide hands-on troubleshooting for operating systems, hardware, and user issues. Support remote users and coordinate with the corporate IT team when needed. Documentation and Communication Document all work performed in the internal ticketing system including troubleshooting steps and resolutions. Maintain accurate records of site configurations, equipment installations, and network changes. Communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical staff. Deliver professional, customer-focused support at all company locations. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in IT support or field technician roles. Strong network troubleshooting knowledge including TCP/IP, switches, routers, and wireless networks. Experience with Ethernet cabling, patch panels, and basic network infrastructure installation. Solid experience supporting Windows workstations and common business applications. Experience installing and troubleshooting printers and peripherals. Ability to work independently while traveling and supporting remote sites. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, A+, or similar. Experience supporting multi-site environments. Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems and IT documentation standards. Experience with VoIP phones, wireless deployments, or network monitoring tools. Job Description Job Description Roles and Responsibilities - Oversee site activities related to the installation and commissioning of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and associated equipment. - Assist the Erector in the installation of HRSG components, including piping and auxiliary systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications. - Interpret sketches and drawings for construction, ensuring installation of pressure parts, equipment, modules, and piping according to specified requirements and installation sequence. - Review and ensure that HRSG installation method statements are prepared safely and effectively. - Report commercial and technical deviations with quality records/non-conformance reports (NCR) and follow up until resolution. - Ensure all necessary documents, such as Inspection Test Plans (ITPL), reports, and quality documentation, are provided by subcontractors/partners during system turnover certification. - Support resolution of technical issues with GE Vernova engineering using the reporting system tools, such as submitting Engineering Request (ER) cases for site installation clarification. - Review welding documents, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welder qualifications, prior to commencement of welding activities. - Implement and enforce strict safety protocols for heavy lifting activities during HRSG component installation. - Review lifting plans proposed by installation companies, considering site constraints and conditions. - Ensure HRSG piping installation and testing are conducted according to project specifications. - Oversee the performance of HRSG hydrotests, and ensure preservation measures are implemented post-hydrotest. - Validate cleaning methodologies, chemical cleaning processes, and safety valve settings meet specifications. - Ensure waste disposal, including test media, adheres to local environmental standards. - Identify and resolve site interferences during installation and testing phases across disciplines. - Issue progress reports to the Construction Manager, Site Manager, and TK/SI Installation Leader. - Prepare and execute HRSG tests, performance tests, and reliability runs. - Utilize Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for system checks. - Support the setting and testing of instrumentation and logical checks (e.g., pressure and temperature transmitters, vibration detectors, position switches).
