Base Pay Range: $92,000 - $105,000 The Product Owner plays a central role in connecting business strategy to engineering execution. You will own and prioritize the product backlog, facilitate sprint planning, and serve as the key liaison between development teams, functional leaders, and senior stakeholders. As Product Owner, your essential job functions will include the following: Product Owner Responsibilities - Own the product backlog—define and prioritize user stories, write clear acceptance criteria, and ensure the development team always has well-scoped, actionable work. - Gather and analyze business requirements to plan enhancements, system upgrades, and new product launches, translating them into tasks that drive process improvements and technical progress. - Lead weekly sprint planning and prioritization to ensure the right features are being built at the right time and for the right reasons. - Facilitate cross-functional alignment across developers, functional leaders, project managers, and senior leadership—keeping project direction well-defined and on schedule. - Communicate project expectations clearly and in a timely manner; deliver product demonstrations to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. - Proactively manage project dependencies, risks, change requests, and milestone deliverables to minimize disruption and maintain momentum. - Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and shared understanding of deliverables. - Contribute to a culture of collaboration and transparency by championing well-defined processes and keeping teams oriented to shared goals. Other Duties as Assigned Position Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - 5+ years related work experience in automotive insurance products, product ownership or business analyst. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and present at multiple levels of an organization. - Experience leading projects using Agile development methodology. - Proficiency with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project) and MS Office suite. - Highly adaptable to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. - Actively follows AI and technical trends and applies new knowledge to the role. - Familiarity with road hazard, automotive mechanical, or insurance industries.
