Accounting Manager
Hilb Group
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Trail Ridge Power and its related entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and intercompany eliminations • Manage entity-level and consolidated financial statements, including lender-required consolidations • Own ERP system administration and optimization, including configuration, workflows, reporting, and internal controls (Sage Intacct) • Serve as the accounting lead for ERP migration or reimplementation initiatives • Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies • Act as an accounting liaison for external auditors, lenders, and other third-party stakeholders • Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a scaling organization • Collaborate with FP&A, Asset Management, and senior leadership on financial reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc requests • Provide oversight, guidance, and review of work prepared by GL and Staff Accountants • Support special projects and complete other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a manager or lead role
- Public accounting experience at a Top 10 firm strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations
- Hands-on ERP experience desirable (Sage Intacct)
- Experience supporting external audits and lender or investor reporting
- Background in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, construction, or project-based industries is desirable
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills
- Comfort designing, implementing, and refining existing accounting processes and internal controls in a growing organization

• Re-create, validate, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within Dynamics 365 based on revised manufacturing and costing structures • Support SKU setup and maintenance, including units of measure, item groups, inventory dimensions, and costing methods • Support data cleanup, validation, and reconciliation during migration from QuickBooks and other source files • Identify data inconsistencies, duplications, and structural gaps; recommend and implement corrective actions • Partner cross-functionally with Tech, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain, teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment • Provide general inventory accounting and ad hoc accounting support within Dynamics 365 as needed • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and post-go-live stabilization efforts
• Supporting day-to-day accounting and finance operations across billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting • Ensuring reliable billing and cash collection processes • Supporting timely month-end close, and maintaining accurate financial records • Reviewing and preparing customer invoices, posting and reconciling cash receipts • Following up on overdue accounts, processing vendor invoices and expenses
