Alphatec Spine
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex imaging devices. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on customer owned equipment within an assigned territory. - Responsible for the installation, de-installation, and relocation, including packing, unpacking and inspection of new products in an assigned area. - Performs administrative duties associated with the job including the timely completion and submission of expense reports, parts requisitions, installation reports, service reports, customer complaint reports and other reporting duties from time to time as assigned. - Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex clinical systems. - Responsible for maintenance of assigned tools, test equipment, instrumentation, calibration records and assigned technical spares. - Performs on-call standby duty and travel as required. Must be prepared to work unscheduled and odd hours on occasion and on short notice. - Will provide technical guidance and assistance to customers as required. - Performs final calibration, compliance testing and applications training as required for customer acceptance. - Will adhere to and ensure compliance with safety policies and good manufacturing practices. - Must inspire total customer confidence in abilities to resolve technical problems.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an electro-mechanical field
- Previous biomedical, x-ray fundamentals, electronics, or computer technology training required
- Must possess the ability to grasp new product technology with a minimum in formal training and the use of technical publications and maintenance procedures.
- Must have demonstrated a high aptitude to thoroughly understand complex systems
- Previous experience in servicing complex electronic and electromechanical systems in the medical field
- Two or more years hands on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining biomedical, clinical and/or X-ray diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Capable of operating all test equipment and instrumentation related to the job, (oscilloscope, diagnostic testers, RF measurement equipment, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior management
- Proficient analytical, problem solving, decision-making skill
- Able and willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed

- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to rent a car for service travel purposes.

- Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $90,000 to $110,000 Full-Time Annual Salary

Our Technology Development Engineers Team: - Develop technical product, application, and supplier strategies with the Director Technical Sales & Marketing or the equivalent supplier marketing manager. - Work closely with the Regional Sales teams to define specific target customers and further develop regional and local customer plans. - Collaborate with Outside Sales teams and strategic suppliers, jointly visiting customers to execute the design-in of focus products into end customer applications. - Drive customer visit activity to engineering alone as required. - Evaluate new potential customers and support customer design locations that may procure products from TTI in other locations. - Ensure the allocated Outside Salesperson is informed of design strategy and project updates. - Monitor activities to defined plans using the Customer Account Manager tool (CAM) and Opportunity Management System (OMS) reports. - Meet regularly with local Branch Product Managers and General Managers/Outside Sales Managers to review progress of the branch to OMS targets. - Proactively review all OMS activity for new projects that could have opportunities for their products to be designed-in. - Maintain project information in CAM and update key activity and next actions required to convert associated projects. - Ensure valid design registrations have been applied for by the Branch Product Manager. - Look for total solutions for projects, calling on other technical resource expertise and suppliers' technical support where necessary. - Focus on technical new business demand creation and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. - Assist with technical support as required to the Sales team and BPMs. - Update sales teams on new products and relevant total solution applications. - Undertake regular product trainings with suppliers locally and understand key applications and suitable technologies. - Employ commercial/business acumen to prioritize key projects and maximize project design conversion. - Work closely with the sales organization via CAM to identify potential design opportunities/leads for key NPI products. - Utilize TTI Internal tools such as iPad, CAM, Product Communicator, Express, BI, OMS, Intranet tools, and TTI Website for strategy planning and customer visit planning. - Understand supplier design registration programs and design protection cost discounts structures. - Maintain regional market awareness on end application trends, distributor competitor activities, and industry trends.
