Field Service Engineer

GE Aerospace

• Responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives • Ensuring Customer Satisfaction • Maintaining all equipment models specific to a modality or modalities in the Americas Region • Support customers throughout parts of the US, Central and South America as needed • Travel up to 100% (Road Warrior) • Work on a team or individually, to install, perform preventive maintenance, repairs and deliver trainings • Perform total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems • Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures • Maintain effective quality systems and programs according to the GE Aerospace Service Quality Policy Statement • Maintain daily interface with Customer technicians on equipment status to ensure satisfaction of primary customers.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. Engineering / Associates degree and 2 years technical experience, a High School Diploma and 5 years field service or electrical / mechanic technician experience, or equivalent military experience
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business requires
  • Willingness to work Weekends and Holidays as needed
  • Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level
  • Shows Initiative, high standards, motivation and outside of the box thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
  • Demonstrated ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology
  • Excellent communication skills, listening skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer skills and deals tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
