Role Description As Global Key Account Manager, the candidate will be responsible for acting as the main mediator between Energy Curing Systems and Fiber Optic Material (ECS-FOM) and its customers. They will be the “ambassador” of the customers; taking care of and maximizing the benefit of ECS-FOM and customers - developing and implementing strategies for specific accounts while maintaining customer relationships to meet the customer needs and increase the company's revenue through identifying sales opportunities. This position is a remote/residence-based role in the central and/or eastern region of the US. Major Tasks and Responsibilities - Achieve and/or exceed annual budgeted sales objectives and goals for the account portfolio, maintain the sustainable growth market share with value-based price. - Develop business relationship with key accounts and key development accounts, to create a platform for sustainable growth in the long term. - Work with customers to define the future needs, transfer that into Covestro business value, effectively drive new development and full alignment internal resources. - Consistently identify issues and challenges that customers are facing in the marketplace, and properly define problems that will lead to the creation of opportunities that Covestro will leverage to make contributions. - Supervise activities of direct or indirect (e.g. technical service) personnel; manage customer product development & project, and customer complaints. - Coordinate with R&D, supply chain, operations, customers project/product development. - Properly segmenting the customer base, which will lead to better management of the total account portfolio. - Proactively identify key development accounts, while maintaining and further enhancing the loyalty level of current key accounts on a long-term basis. - Implement effectively and efficiently new pricing strategy based on customer value creation with existing customers and promote to new customers, maximize the short and long-term profitability. - Collect and update effectively market dynamic to internal organization, monitor competitors’ activity and technical developments. - Work together with technical service team to offer prompt and effective service to customers, leverage global resources if needed. - Properly manage the customer demand and forecast to ensure supply security and proper stock level. - Draft the sales contract regarding SOP procedure, complete all sales account report such as the Key Account (KA) plan and SOLs reports. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in global key account management, sales, or business development; OR Master's degree with 5+ years of experience in global key account management, sales, or business development. Requirements - 5+ years’ experience with fiber optic cable. - Experience in project management. - Experience with cross-regional teams. - Expertise in optical fiber and cable industry. Knowledge and Skills - Strong knowledge of the industry (our customers, the customer of our customers). - Ability to support the FOM strategy implementation with existing KA, with new KA, and by “hunting” the cable customers. - Ability to coordinate indirect multi-cultural teams, and projects.
