About the Role The EA - Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing technical and subject matter expertise to the NGP VAN revenue organization. Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities: - Work cross-functionally with sales teams to position success paths for our prospects and customers for NGP VAN, Mobilize and ActionKit product and technical solutions. - Proactively scope and design the technical and business solution needed to address customer requirements. - Assist sales team members with research regarding current customer’s setup and provide recommendations for future sales opportunities. - Develop customized presentations, demonstrations and prototypes to prove a solution's business value to C level customers. - Comfortable managing multiple concurrent opportunities and delivering on time - Create content for and lead enablement sessions with the revenue organization - Assist in the response to RFPs and RFIs - Collaborate with product managers and other internal subject matter experts on product development strategy - Work with other internal stakeholders as the client moves through the sales process; services, provisioning and implementation - Collaborate with other stakeholders in the revenue organization on robust demo environments Required Skills/Abilities: - Active Listening - Listens actively and is attentive to others - Customer Focus - Demonstrates concern and takes action for meeting and exceeding their customer’s expectations and requirements - Results Orientation - Successfully achieves results, diligently working to overcome obstacles to achieve goals - Problem Solving - Systematically and logically identifies and weighs options to resolve problems, generating solutions after reviewing all relevant information, including risks and the impact of potential solutions - Professional/Technical Expertise - Applies technical and professional knowledge, skills and judgment to accomplish results - Works collaboratively and uses a positive approach to achieve goals - Verbal Communication - Effectively expresses ideas verbally in individual and group situations Education and Experience: - Experience working on campaigns or with nonprofits, with a demonstrated interest in organizing and fundraising - Previous experience with any of the NGP VAN solutions (NGP, VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize or ActionKit) or experience using any of these tools: ActBlue, Action Network, PDI, among others, is a required. - Experience running discovery workshops with customers and understanding challenges and business needs. (Intermediate to Advanced Level) - You've held a high-achieving sales role at a company with SaaS products and have held a quota - You follow progressive politics and are knowledgeable of key organizations and issues - Experience with a web-based SaaS platform (Intermediate to Advanced Level) - Understanding of web standards and integration methodologies (Intermediate to Advanced Level) - Proven experience in presenting to C-level executives - Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
