You aren't just making things look "pretty"—you are building interfaces that drive measurable growth. What You'll Do: - Product Design: Design end-to-end user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces for web and mobile platforms. - Data-Driven Iteration: Constantly iterate on designs based on performance insights, heatmaps, and A/B test results. - Conversion Focus: Apply UI best practices around visual hierarchy, accessibility, and clear Calls to Action (CTAs). - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate asynchronously with Growth teams, Creative Strategists, and Developers to ensure technical feasibility. - System Maintenance: Maintain quality and consistency across a high volume of assets and design systems. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in UX/UI design, specifically for e-commerce or DTC brands. - Strong proficiency in Figma (our primary tool) and Adobe Creative Suite. - Ability to create functional prototypes to demonstrate motion and interaction. - Mastery of typography, color theory, and layout systems. - Strong English communication skills for asynchronous documentation. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, global, remote environment. This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description Remote is hiring a Senior Staff Product Designer to be one of the strongest individual contributors in the company. This is a craft-first, systems-minded role for someone who likes the messy problems: ambiguity, scale and real-world constraints. You’ll shape how we build product at Remote: the patterns we repeat, the systems we rely on, and how we use AI and prototyping to move from idea to something real. You’ll take on company-wide initiatives, special projects with high visibility, and help push all of our products forward. Key responsibilities - Prototype like it matters: Lead by showing, not telling. High-fidelity prototypes, functional flows, code when it helps, AI when it speeds up exploration. Bridge vision and feasibility without losing craft. - Build systems that scale: Spot patterns before they fragment. Create reusable frameworks and abstractions that keep the product coherent across domains and teams. - Make AI useful, not gimmicky: Help the org use AI in practical ways: faster exploration, better documentation, tighter workflows, less busywork. Set the standard for what “good” looks like. - Influence across the company: Partner with execs and VPs on direction and experimentation. Navigate complexity, align teams, and keep the work grounded in user value. - Raise the bar: Mentor at a mastery level. Shape rituals, playbooks, and how we critique work so design quality consistently goes up. Qualifications - Leader scope and judgment: Strong across user centricity, craft, vision, communication, and leadership as an IC. - Serious craft: Excellent interaction + visual design portfolio. Ability to design without a system or create a system from designs. - Technical depth: Proficient in prototyping for real, building for scale, and focusing on performance and details. Fluent with AI-assisted design. - Good in the undefined: Ability to take a vague goal and turn it into a concrete, high-quality product direction with minimal hand-holding. - Strong communicator: Clear, strong storytelling, and the ability to bring people along without turning it into theatre. Requirements - You'll report to: VP, Design - Team: Design - Team size: This is an individual contributor role - Location: anywhere - Start date: As soon as possible - Application process: Roughly 5-6 hours across 5 weeks - Interview with recruiter - Interview with future manager - Async case study presentation (craft + prototyping) - Team / cross-functional interview - Bar Raiser interview - Executive interview - Prior employment verification check Benefits - Work from anywhere - Flexible paid time off - Flexible working hours (we are async) - 16 weeks paid parental leave - Mental health support services - Stock options - Learning budget - Home office budget & IT equipment - Budget for local in-person social events or co-working spaces
