Role Description The HR Coordinator is responsible for executing and monitoring operational human resources routines, ensuring compliance with Brazilian labor legislation (CLT), social security obligations, and internal policies. Provides requested documentation and/or data and researches cases as needed in order to resolve issues; escalates to management as needed. - Coordinates and processes payments and deductions, as needed such as sales draws, bonus payments, incentives, and change in benefit elections. - Conducts records management activities including maintenance, retrieval, and adhering to record retention requirements. - Demonstrates the ability to handle pressure and when meeting deadlines and performance goals. - Processes benefit banking online transactions including creating benefit memos, making payments to benefit vendors, creating and maintaining VEBA balancing spreadsheets, tracking VEBA activities. - Coordinates and administers leave of absence pay using applicable tools in accordance with established policies and programs in partnership with applicable HR teams and third parties. - Supports the administration of Worker’s Compensation using applicable tools according to company policies and programs in partnership with internal HR teams and third-party administrators. - Supports the administration of the team member wellness program using applicable tools according to company policies and programs in partnership with internal HR teams and third-party administrators. - Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area, observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role, and raising and reporting known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion. - Performs other related duties as required. Role Description The School of Professional Studies is seeking an adjunct instructor to develop and teach the new course Facilities & Equipment Management for the Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. The course will be offered in an online, synchronous, semester-based format geared toward part-time, adult undergraduate students. The course will introduce students to the foundational concepts and practical considerations of facilities and equipment management across the biopharmaceutical industry, distinguishing between the needs of research and development (R&D) laboratories and biomanufacturing operations, and focusing on the critical role these functions play in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and product quality. Through virtual case studies, interactive modules, and industry-focused examples, students will learn about the life cycle of facilities and equipment in both sectors. The course will cover topics such as: - Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) versus current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations - Equipment qualification and validation - Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Upon completion, students will have the foundational knowledge and critical thinking skills required to succeed in entry-level roles in the biopharmaceutical industry. The instructor will add their subject matter expertise and real-world examples, partnering with MCPHS leaders to ensure content is relevant to employers. As part of the course development process, the instructor will partner with a project manager and instructional design manager. The instructor will play an important role in the continuous improvement and overall success of the course, helping shape the learning experience for students and contributing to the growth of this exciting new academic offering. - Work with assigned course designer to develop content (assignments, presentations, readings, discussion boards, quizzes, exams) as needed. - Develop and provide students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines, and evaluation criteria. - Deliver course instruction using the University learning management system and digital tools. - Use the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments, and other materials and to communicate with students. - Advise and assist students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by video conference, phone, or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms. - Provide service, including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and collaboration towards a new certificate in life sciences industry fundamentals. - Maintain communication with the Program Director and Assistant Dean, identifying any students of concern and relaying student progress. - Maintain a presence in the course as directed by the Program Director, including answering student emails promptly and participating in interactive course elements where necessary. - Ensure the course meets the high-quality standards of other MCPHS online and on-campus courses. - Identify tactics to improve the course based on feedback. - Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
