Role Description The Cloud Standards Board Process Improvement Analyst is responsible for evaluating, streamlining, and enhancing the internal workflows, policies, procedures, and data of the Cloud Standards Board to drive efficiency, reduce cycle times, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards. Key Responsibilities - Process Mapping & Analysis: Map current-state processes for standard development, public review, and approval; identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and "waste" (e.g., unnecessary steps, rework, delays). - Performance Improvement Initiatives: Help the Core Cloud Standards board team implement actionable projects to enhance quality, speed, and productivity, resulting in more agile and efficient standards creation. - Standards Compliance & Governance: Ensure all process improvements comply with internal governance policies and external industry standards. - Data Analysis & KPI Tracking: Collect and analyze performance data, such as cycle times for standards approval, to measure improvements and identify future opportunities. Groom Cloud Standards Board data sources like ADO, ESATS, ServiceNow, and CAIRO. - Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and visual flowcharts (e.g., via Visio/MDL/git). - Change Management: Drive the adoption of new processes by communicating changes effectively, conducting training and office hours for users, and providing support to Cloud Standards Body Core staff and users. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in process analysis, process improvement, business process management, or quality assurance. - Methodologies: Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), or Business Process Mapping or similar methodologies. - Software Proficiency: Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, MDL/git) and data visualization/analysis tools (e.g., MS Excel, Tableau), work management tools (Azure DevOps (ADO)). - Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex process changes to diverse stakeholders. Overview The IT VMO – Business Analyst is a critical resource within the IT Vendor Management Office, leveraging specialized expertise (initially focused on Telecommunications and Circuits) to drive continuous improvement, optimize vendor performance, and achieve measurable cost efficiencies across the IT vendor landscape. This role works transversally across the organization, acting as a specialized support layer for VMO-led projects and engagements where complex vendor management, financial analysis, or deep technical domain knowledge (e.g., telecom) is required.
