Responsibilities We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Peraton Space Exploration Networks Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract for our NASA customer based in Greenbelt, MD (GSFC). This position will allow for 100% telework, with travel to the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD and other NASA locations, as needed. As prime contractor on the Peraton Space Exploration Networks Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract, Peraton is responsible for the operation, maintenance, sustainment, and systems engineering of NASA’s worldwide satellite communication networks. Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Education/Experience - degree required in electrical engineering, physics or other related technical discipline with directly related experience as follows: BS/BA degree and 10 years experience, or master’s degree and 7 years experience. - Experience as a systems engineer/architect on complex development programs. - Knowledge of systems engineering processes and best practices. - Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). - Experience with Systems Architecture using Visio. - Experience with requirements development and traceability via RTVM management - ICDs for Satcom ground stations - Administration requirements management between MBSE tools, DOORS, and MS Excel for flexible deliverables. - Experience with configuration management and baseline control. - Experience supporting formal design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and ORR) - Prior experience coordinating and directing the work of peers. - Prior experience with planning and scheduling project milestones. - Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools. Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
