ABOUT THE ROLE The Digital Content Copywriter develops and delivers compelling, on-brand content across digital channels including websites, video, email, social, advertising, and integrated customer journeys. This role blends creative storytelling and product marketing with technical SEO/AI expertise to drive visibility, engagement, and conversion. Responsibilities include shaping narratives, optimizing content performance, and translating product value into clear, persuasive messaging. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED - 3+ years’ experience in creative copy writing within brand identity - 2+ years in digital AI/SEO Marketing content creation - 2+ years Digital copywriting for SEO - 2+ years Product or technical writing, i.e. copy writing - Attention to detail is a must EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the following areas: - Creative Writing & Digital Content: Strong background in crafting compelling copy for advertising and social media campaigns. - Strategic Copywriting: Proven experience as a creative and strategic copywriter with a robust portfolio showcasing published work across diverse digital platforms. - SEO & Content Optimization: Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and proficiency with content management systems (CMS). - AI-Driven Content Development: Familiarity with creating effective prompts for AI writing assistants and leveraging content optimization tools. - Exceptional Writing Skills: Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with meticulous attention to detail. - Research & Storytelling: Strong analytical and research skills, capable of transforming complex information into clear, engaging narratives. - Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines. - Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams. - Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of marketing fundamentals, including market identification, strategies, functions, and industry trends. - Industry Insight: Knowledge of the leisure travel industry is a plus but not required. - Technical Proficiency: Skilled in MS 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and InCopy. RESPONSIBILITIES Content Creation & Strategy - Develop compelling communication assets across multiple formats and channels, including branding content and travel product descriptions for tours and river cruises. Content will be used on websites, emails, marketing materials, social media, digital and print advertising, and video. - Ensure all content aligns with Globus, Cosmos, and Avalon brand standards and style guides, maintaining a consistent voice across domestic and international markets. - Conduct in-depth research on travel-related topics to create original, accurate, and engaging content for tours and river cruises. - Contribute to brand and communication guidelines for new products, features, and innovation projects. - Maintain and update the internal Style Guide in collaboration with the Creative Director and key stakeholders. - Manage content updates and edits across digital tools and systems, including Sitecore CMS, outbound communications platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, SmartCOMM), email service provider (Twilio), and review tools (Trustpilot). - Collaborate effectively with managers across global time zones, meeting diverse deadlines on multiple projects. - Brainstorm creative content ideas, analyze performance metrics, and implement feedback for continuous improvement. - Recommend process improvements to enhance flexibility, reduce costs, and improve customer engagement. - Stay current with industry trends in digital marketing, SEO best practices, and AI advancements to identify new opportunities. - Support team initiatives by contributing to related projects as needed. SEO Optimization - Conduct keyword and market research using SEO tools (e.g., BrightEdge, Google Analytics) to create content that drives organic traffic and improves search rankings. - Integrate target keywords naturally into copy while maintaining readability. - Optimize on-page SEO elements such as headlines, meta descriptions, image alt text, and internal linking structures. AI Integration & Analysis - Utilize AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Co-Pilot, BrightEdge) for brainstorming, drafting, and proofreading. - Apply prompt engineering techniques to guide AI output and ensure alignment with brand voice and strategic goals. - Review and refine AI-generated content for accuracy, originality, and compliance with E-E-A-T principles (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). Website Content Review - Support website content creation and updates for all brand sites, ensuring accuracy, tone consistency, and international compatibility. - Write, edit, and proofread copy for marketing collateral and websites, maintaining a unified brand voice. Editing & Proofreading - Ensure factual and grammatical accuracy of all marketing copy for internal and external communications. - Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in writing, editing, and proofreading tasks. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The function of the North America Marketing Department is to generate demand for the Globus family of brands travel products amongst the travel-trade and consumers across the US and Canada. This includes campaign planning and execution, promotional planning and direction, content management, external communication to our key audiences, and strategic direction for product.
