Role Description We are seeking a highly creative and hard-working temporary Sr. Copywriter to support our marketing copy needs across email and site—with opportunities to contribute across editorial, social, collateral, and more. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses a strategic mindset and creative storytelling instincts. - Write engaging, high-converting email copy for campaigns, newsletters, and automated email marketing funnels, as well as website copy, in IPSY’s fun and unique brand voice. - Understand customer segments and timing in order to drive engagement, acquisition, retention, and growth. - Occasionally review and edit copy from other writers to uphold editorial standards and ensure alignment with IPSY’s brand voice. - Maintain high editorial standards through rigorous proofreading, editing, and fact-checking to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency, making any revisions necessary until all stakeholders are satisfied. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across marketing, UX, design, merchandising, and more to bring campaigns to life and ensure all writing delivers on business objectives. - Contribute to a wide range of copy projects as needed, including writing and editing long- and short-form stories, social media captions, site assets, collateral, and more. - Attend weekly cross-functional kick-off and review meetings as needed. Qualifications - 5+ years experience writing copy for beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands (portfolio for review is required). - Passion for beauty, storytelling, and brands. - Ability to multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment. - Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and other cross-functional partners. - Obsessive attention to detail and highly organized. - Open-minded and resourceful with a knack for problem-solving. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
